I have an Adrian Smith USA model sig Jacksonn that has tje super diatoetion in the bridge. Ive always liked the SD until I installed a set of evolutions in my RR Jackson. To me, the evolutions sound hotter and more full while the Sd sounds flat and muddy. Does anyone have a recomm for something I can put in the bridge position of Smith Jackson that would match that has a little more crisp edge to it and little more aggresiveness?0106152028-1755x3120.jpg

If you really want crisp then i'll suggest a seymour duncan SH4 JB. But maybe it's a little bit to much for a strat kind of guitar (i've always used it in my old SG).
A little bit less crisp and more bass end you have the SH5, also a really nice pickup.
The SH6 set was in my SG when i bought it, nice set but really metal-ish (if thats the sound you looking for, really good pickups).

You can listen to most of them on the seymour duncan website http://www.seymourduncan.com/comparison-audio/pickup-list?product_filter=Humbucker

Awesome, thats some great advice. I do play in a metal band but its border line heavy hard rock like Rush meets Queensryche meets Helloween. Its seems like Seymour Duncan has more of a selection for the metal genre.

Dimarzio Super Distortion 3 will bring up some mids and add some bite or for a medium output range use the Dimarzio Norton.

I have it in 2 Les Pauls and one of my Jacksons (can't remember which one right now)...I really like it.
Pairs great withe the Dimarzio PAF Pro.

I had a Duncan Distortion, it's a descent pickup, but didn't offer me anything different than the Kent Armstrong PU it replaced. I was hoping for a bit more clarity and upper mids. It seemed to be a darker sounding pickup in my USA Soloist.

Im definetely ordering a super3 but also gonna try a Boss sd1 for my boost channel on my 2205. I have a ts9 silver, mod now but the, majority vote says to go with sd1 for an old school metal tone over the ts9.
