When I need to buy something online, I do my best to buy from Guitar Center, because if I have to return it, my store is 15 minutes away; 5 minutes from work. I've bought 2 items from SW. One was returned (not their fault), and of course I had to pay the return shipping.
The only issue I have ever had was when I ordered something from Marshall...I waited for 3 months for a cab last year and almost went with another cab...Everything else I order from them I get in no time...Its just stuff from Marshall....And they do treat you like a King....
I never order back-ordered stuff unless the seller just fucking lies & sez its in stock and as soon as you click the mouse it sez its not. Always request an immediate refund if back-ordered because theres a great chance you'll never get the item & if you do it can take months. On the flip side they do have good service & sell some nice stuff.
Ordered on Friday night. Arrived Tuesday morning. If you know something is on back order, you can talk to the sales rep and ask if it's really coming back soon. I love Sweetwater.
I've had good luck with them. One thing I like is that they call to make sure you got your item and that you are happy with it. Seems to me that it's about a month from purchase that my rep calls. The candy is great when I get home to check new gear my kids are excited as I am. They been staring at that box for hours wondering what kind of candy it is.
This is what a great economy feels like! I’m in the 3rd year in a row of the company I work for hitting it out of the park. I’m talking Mickey Mantle style. I’ve noticed used gear....the good or vintage stuff..... is creeping up in price and harder to snag.
Back on track, I use Sweetwater quite a bit. Never returned anything. And I always get candy no matter what size the order is. And I have never had anything backordered.
I like Sweetwater as well. Their store is a couple hours away from my house, so I usually get my order pretty quick. I always look there first when I want to buy something.
I don't care what the pre-election verbal pukers on the MSM have to say about how bad the economy is, the company i work for follows the economy. When it's good we rock, when it's bad we suck. We manufacture many products that are sold to the recreation industries and these guys are ordering up big time which tells me the people have money to go and play with thereby wearing out the stuff we sell them requiring replacements. I am working my ass off and rewarding myself at the same time. Bought a 2203x and a 2555x all in less than two months. Things are good.
I've used both SW and Musicians Friend. I tend to default to MF because of the 8% same as cash points (free backpass membership) and the usual 10-15% discounts on most products. In terms of service, I agree SW is great and is probably a better buyer experience. But it usually comes down to price and for me almost every time MF wins.
Yup, 4 out of the 5 economic pillars are positive (first time in years its been this high) America is now the largest exporter of energy in the world, unemployment is low there are actually more jobs than workers now, stocks are uuuuppppp...yes it feels good Bro! Glad to hear its working out good for you now go buy some gear!!
Yup! All I can think is that if/when the day comes that I actually find what I'm looking for on there, it will be the day that I find the piece that I'm meant to have at the time I'm suppose to acquire it ... at least that's what I'm telling myself now!
