Do you know what other Marshall model could "do the job" for the Yngwie sound but without all the "bells and whistles" that the YJM100 have ?
100w 1959 is what the platform behind the YJM100 is. The newer 20 watt SV20 studio amp will get you there. But, you will need a boost up front...
Thanks for the suggestion,i'll take a look at it... I'll add that amp to my "hunting list" At this polint,the only "missing link" is the amp,i've all the rest...the scalloped strat,the DOD 250,the HS-3 pickups,the Ferrari sticker...
I just posted in one of the other forums here that none of my 4 holers with a boost in front sounds like my YJM. I know marshall says its a dod OD gray circuit. yea, but no...lol. There is more going on as my yjm sounds much better than other 4 holers I own no matter what OD I use. If it was that easy to make them sound like the yjm, belive me I would have done it as I love the YJM's tone with the boost. Granted, without its built in boost, it really does pretty much sound just like my other 4 holers.
