:D Micky want to hear a real hoot? IE11 isn't compatible with Flashplayer. Since it's allready incorporated in IE11 it won't let you download De-Bugging Updates from Adobe. THEN I notice there is one for Netscape,Mozilla and Firefox.

The Lightbulb went on above my head.

Okay.... so I change browsers from IE11 to Firefox, Download the Debugger, and make Yahoo my homepage. Then I test some problems I was having like Live video feeds and History of my bank accounts: Voila!!! Everything works.

Needless to say I removed IE icon from my taskbar.

Can You believe it? MICROSOFT has an Upgrade for Windows 8.1 with the Latest version of IE that isn't compatible with Java, Flashplayer, quicktime or what not. Not saying the Next Update will work but if you want to upgrade your flashplayer for IE you are going to have to wait for IE12....

Well I guess you could uninstall all the components of IE11 then reinstall a Previous version, You Know, do an Unupdate.

    UN FRIGGING BELIEVABLE.

    Thanx again for your help.

That's about like how an Eleven Rack comes with Pro Tools 11, but the control window for the Eleven Rack was removed in Pro Tools 11. You have to downgrade to 10 to get it.

The whole tile the is just a UI layer on top of regular Windows. Microsoft's biggest mistake was making that the default and not explaining it.

Except for the Start menu it's exactly the same, or close enough.

Well I gave my new laptop to my friend who is a computer geek and he is going to install the soft shell design (which I could have done myself) but also clean up all the not needed BS that comes with a new PC like Norton promotion and all that.

If I don't like that I'll have 7 installed. I don't have time to learn windows 8 as someone suggested I bought the computer ONLY for music and I have a couple new recording programs to install and LEARN and that is where my time needs to be learning that not windows 8.

I am currently back to writing original material with friends and they are pressing me to get my end of the bargain recorded and back to them so I have enough on my plate and don't need windows 8 slowing me down.

Look I bought a computer rapidly out of need for that, didn't know about windows 8 until I started the computer so yeah my mistake for not researching windows 8 first grhhh..

    cheers

Oh one more thing why the hell would a touch screen be better on a normal PC with a mouse? A mouse is much better for a working situation, reaching over to touch a screen is crap, leave that BS to smart phones, with a guitar in your lap or laying in bed a mouse is much better.

I tried Windows 8 it was too hard to navigate so I went back to Windows 7, 64 Bit, I have and Intel 8 core Vishera, and a 9 series MSI board.

You don't have to have a touch screen either... I think you have a very wrong view of Windows 8... My laptop has Windows 8, but it's not touch screen. The tile view has touch screen in mind, because of tablets and phones, but doesn't mean you can't use a mouse.

Edit: Can't believe I'm defending Windows...

    You take that back, sir!

As I put down the iPad I'm typing on, pick up my iPhone, and go record on my Mac mini... I swear I'm not an Apple fanboy either!

I just use whatever works for me in the moment.

Get with the program already. You should be using Chrome...
Firefox has so many security holes its icon should be swiss cheese.

    And IE 10, 11 & 12, just suck.

    Uh, yeah you do.

There are hundreds of tasks that once you click OK, it takes you directly to the tile screen. You cannot avoid it.

Dude, my last laptop came with Win8 Pro for like $14. At first I was excited. But then I spent like maybe 90 minutes and couldn't find the drives, Services, Group Policy and a whole bunch of other stuff - I don't even think I got to the Control Panel. I just kept trying to figure out WTF it was trying to be. I thought I was nuts, cause I kept thinking: "naw, the Start menu's still there, it's just in a different location... they couldn't possibly have screwed this up so bad that average consumers and company employees would need actual TRAINING".

But they did. And I thought, if I need to go out and get a book on Win8 after being a MS admin for over 10 years, this thing has no future!
