too much for my blood! looks like fire wood.
Let's see...Detroit Craigslist...I'm going to guess that was an original MC5 cab...in that case it would be worth millions!!! Or simply firewood...
Sorry...wrong answer. It belonged to Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels.
who the fuck are they when there home ?????
What a piece of shit
Well if anything it sure does show that Marshall cabs can get their ass kicked and still sound good..if what the guys says is true..
but my guess would be that his 'sounds good' is probably somewhat of a stretch...
In my years on this planet, experience has showed me more so then not, that if something looks like a piece of shit it, it usually is....as it typically and symbolically indicates abuse not only cosmetically, but functionally as well..
A good analogy would be that of shopping for a good used car..if it looks like shit on the outside..the guy probably didn't take care of it mechanically as well..
either way there is no way a cab should look that bad, and imo indicates disrespect...I sure the hell wouldn't buy it...for nearly any price...
A little out to lunch I'd say !!! It should be donated to a local museum i think !!
I'd offer him 20$, I'm sure he'd take it, and just gut out the speakers.
The rest in the camp fire.
That's 15 ply Baltic Birch plywood. My god, you could make a small boat out of it. Think of all of the possibilities. How about a 15 man toboggan sled?
Thinkin' about 15 men that close together just gets your rocks off don't it?
BTW, it's not me
I don't care about how torn up anything looks personally. I listen to music with my ears, not my eyes and functionality is more important than cosmetics but $1250, that's out of control. I'd say a few bucks for the cabinet and whatever the speakers are worth on their own.
I have a cab like that...
A few tears here and there, but nothing like as bad as that!
It still has the original celestion green backs, and it's a really sweet sounding cab!!
I bought it for £35 ($50?) in 1984
its a fair price if the speakers are original and in good nick.
its not as bad as you people are making out, only tolex damage as far as i can see. and a wonky logo. the usual fading to the grill cloth.
someone could restore that no problem and have a killer cab.
Metal handles...that's a valuable cabinet, especially if all 4 speakers are original and in good condition. The cosmetics can be fixed, but I agree the price is out of line considering the work that it needs.
You couldn't pay me to take that cabinet.
I agree on the $20. Come on it's rotten... I can very hardly believe that lookign that bad all teh 4 speakers work... it'll fart ahahahahahahahha
i think he actually should have meant $12.50 jajaja
and yeah 15 men on a sled sound too crowded hahah
