Now that we know Doug is leaving WS , who should step in a fill those big boots ??
Coverdale should go into retirement...
The dude can still sing ... no ??
Not as well as he used to. Also, he doesn't seem to enjoy it anymore...

He needs to hang it up.
Also, 2:45... What the hell?
That video was really painful to watch. I've seen them twice. Once was with Priest. It was during the British Steel anniversary tour. Whitesnake cancelled the tour shortly after. He was really bad. The second was time at Rocklahoma. Coverdale was significantly better, but still he keeps his singing to a minimum, and his band helps him out tremendously, as you see on that video. They do the bulk of the singing. It sucks man. When the voice is tired, the voice is tired. It has nothing to do with talent. It just goes. Perhaps Dave should do more one off shows and festivals as opposed to touring.
Wow. He really looks like my grandma.
3:16 was a good time to go for dogs and beers.
No one ages gracefully in R&R. Not even the Stones. But Coverdale and Plant need to just let us go.
Sadly true - maybe he should just stick to the studio.. Mind you he lasted a lot longer than Percy Plant
That was pretty bad .... i have to agree !
Wow....that was bad. That reminds me, did anyone here see the American idol performance of "still of the night" ? Rafael Moreira was on guitar and it was a killer performance .....great tone and tons tasty guitar with killer chops.
At 2:30 did he really just tweak his own nipple?
Yes. Yes he did. That is what I was about to post. WTF? Can't they just find someone from the Philippines on YouTube, like Journey did?
Coverdale doesn't want to be there. He would rather be having a bloody mary.
I'm kind of glad Doug is leaving WS. I think Doug is too cool for WS.
I'm looking forward to see where all this takes him. I'm sure he'll do just fine.
John Sykes. Not to mention he cab still sing Coverdales lead lines too. But tell me boy, can you sing and play lol.
John usually plays JCM 800 1987 and 1959's.
Sounds like Coverdale's voice could fit in with Exodus, Kreator, or Overkill now. But not Whitesnake, not anymore.
Wasn't Still of the Night recorded with a Mesa Mark III Coliseum?
IIRC, on that album, he used Mesa for rhythm & Marshall for lead...
Still, a killer rhythm sound...
Thanks for the info.
That's messed up. I hope he was trying to be funny.
