    1) Make image 1 MB or smaller.

    2) Click Upload A File button.

I've uploaded hundred of pics this way. I have never done it any other way, ever.

I don't do it this way because I use Google Photos since my cellphone automatically uploads all images and videos to there (super convenient IMHO). The other way means I would have to save a bunch of pics on my computer I wouldn't want to save on there and then I would also have to resize them before uploading them to here.

With Imgur and Google photos all I need to do is copy/paste image link from Google Photos to Imgur and them copy/paste it here the way I described. It's super quick and easy and no resizing necessary and keeps a bunch of crap off my PC. The Images only disappear out of old threads if you delete the pics from your Imgur account.

I tried following your instructions but on my phone. Copied the link in Imgur, pasted it into the mountain/sun icon, result is it shows up as a broken link.

You 1st need to open the image in Imgur then right click on it then click copy image address and then paste to the image icon here. You don't want to copy the actual URL link at the top of the browser tab. If I said anything about using the URL at the top of the browser that was a mistake on my part. I'm using Google Chrome BTW.

EDIT: I went back and looked at my original post and I think I forgot to mention actually right clicking the image to copy image address. Sorry I've been fighting a migraine for the past couple days and not really thinking clearly. It's easier for me to do it than explain it right now. It's hard for me to even focus to read right now. lol :)

This is copying the link on the browser tab for an image.

This is copying it by right clicking on the image then clicking copy image address.

No, I never use a phone for posting on forums or anything else, only a PC. About the only thing I use a phone on the net for is taking pics and looking something up real quick. So that may explain it. I try to use my phone as little as possible. :)

Great. So in 10 years time your linked photos will still be visible? Will Imgur still exist 10 years from now?

… wasnt much of a problem on fora 10 years ago, but since it became real problem. On the other forum that help woth a moderating, we actively promote to upload images , not use links. This way the thread archive is still usefull.

Imgur on a PC is super easy and quick, share, copy the bbcode, paste into forum thread. My problem is working out of a phone.

I never post anything that is important enough to be around in 10 years. So I really don't care if it's around even a year down the road. lol

Not something I want to deal with at all for a pic I just want to share on the net. I can avoid it all ever going on my computer period and it's super simple. If others want to do it that way, that's cool. It's just not the way I want to do things. :)
