No never got over there. It was the Barn in Orlando, Discount Music in Orlando, Michael Tobias's place, and Bill Felds place.

Prices of new gear have pretty much gone up across the board this last year. Used stuff is high now and it will probably come down some. But with price increases on new stuff, I assume used will probably stay a little higher too. Add in the fact that it's more expensive to sell now (Reverb, ebay fees) so used sellers are probably trying to cover that. Shipping seems to get more expensive and now everyone charges sales tax. Yeah as a buyer, the accumulating effect is everything is way more expensive.

I only buy used gear when it's a great deal. Sooner or later, someone needs the cash 'for whatever'. I only haggle a little to get the price 'in the zone' or I pass on it completely. I've been finding a lot of great deals on guitars, amps, & cabinets. You just have to be in the right place (with the cash) at the right time & be first in line (I miss out sometimes, but that's okay, cause I have a lot of cool stuff already)...

I've bought more gear during the shutdown than I ever have! My Les Paul, my 71' - and I think we just closed the deal on a 78' 2204.

You think used gear prices have gone nuts, just try buying ammo! I can remember feeling ripped off by having to pay 200 dollars for a case of PMC .223. That same case now is a thousand bucks and more.

I think it's about time the price of used cabs has gone up. I remember back when new Marshall 4x12s went for $600. If you got one used in great shape, $400-$500 was a good deal. A beat to hell one that worked would go for $300.
Right now that would equate to:
    New $1200
    Great condition used $800- $1000
    Beat to hell $600

A few years ago you could buy a new 4x12 for around $1100 and be lucky to get $500-$600 the day after you bought it.

Yeah been buying a lot of ammo also. Most is a dollar plus a round but I've been able to find name brand for less than .80 a round so I feel lucky to get it.

I load my own and I don't shoot much. I maintain proficiency but can't afford to be blasting piles of ammo just for the fun of it.

I get more fun out of one bullseye than any ten rounds in the 5 ring anyway.

About a year ago I got a 1960B cabinet with G12T75s for 300 dollars. Today I'd be lucky to get another EMPTY 1960B for 500.

I am tesponsible for that. I have since changed my mind and know that 4x12s suck. Everone needs to sell their old cabs and gig with 1x8s. Four twelves are the devil and everyone on the southeast needs to sell them. Sell them now.

You can’t even “roll your own” ammo right now. Powder is not to be found! BBFC8BFE-2758-414C-94B8-699A4F4815E4.jpeg

everything has went up on price since the CV hit us.
thing of it is, we are use to paying the new price for so long it will now be the new norm.
dont kid youself, prices will NOT go back to what they were period.
they might drop a bit to makes us believe we are now getting a "good deal' when in fact we are still getting
the screws put to us. have ya notice gas prices havent really followed yet?
had they we would have caught on sooner to the move for the new normal. they snuck it on us folks.

if you move the whole mountain in a day people will notice and revolt. if you move that same mountain
a few truckloads at a time how long ya thing it will take, how much do you think
you can move before anybody notices? before anybody will really care? thats what they did guys.

If we all started using ammo as currency instead of fiat federal reserve notes things would change dramatically.

Shoot one of these for target practice in the yard, $18 for 5000 rounds. Save the bullets for shooting intruders. :yesway:
