Whatever Happened To GrooveTubes Solo 75 Combo Amps?

    I still have my KT88 Solo 75.

    I think this amp jumps across the room and I'm going to launch that 12" speaker.

    Heavy like my Vox AC 30.

    IMO, obscenely expensive.

    I bought mine at a GC Blow Out sale for less than a G.

    IMO, the GT Solo 75 sounds really good.

    The amps were discontinued in 2008, shortly after Fender bought Groove Tubes.

    So it's reasonable to guess that FMIC decided the number of sales and profit margins weren't high enough to keep making them.

    Fender swallowed up a bunch of companies to make them go away...

    Aspen concentrated on his mid/side speaker, single point stereo unit.
