You didn't read the lefty comments. Most places don't have lefty guitars in stock, and the only way to try one is to order one from a trusted seller who accepts returns. Lefties don't have some of the luxuries righties do.
Sorry for your friends bandmate misfortune. Truly a bad deal. I'm in the camp of returning it too, for full refund! 2.500 is to much money spent to be getting a guitar in that kind of shape. Wonder what the rest of the guitar looks and plays like...... Agree, who is the retailer....
That may well be. But finding a lefty used or otherwise locally to try before you buy is tough. Especially the exact model one is looking for. Hence situations like the op's.
If I were a lefty I’d go to see Steve @ Wildwood in Colorado. For an instrument you plan on owning for the rest of your life it’s worth a plane ticket IMO.
Let's see more pictures. Headstock, coa, whole enchilada, etc. That doesn't look like a new guitar to me, more like a scam (and a poor attempt at a fret job).
I buy without playing first from SW, they sent exact pics and followed up with phone calls and emails to make sure I’m 100% happy with everything....but everybody already knows SW is gtg.
I wonder, when i see something so blatantly shitty like that if it isn't sabotage. Some pissed off employees sticking it to the man???
Why? I have ordered a Kiesel sight unseen and the guitar arrived flawless for half the price of a Gibson. For $2500 it should be perfect except for maybe setup preferences.
I tried out what could have been a nice 2018 SG Standard at Guitar Center last year. In that same exact area, where the fretboard meets the nut, about a 3mm x 3mm *chunk* of wood was missing. MISSING. Not shipping damage. Didn't happen in the store. It was clearly assembled as I saw it. I bet the same zipperhead that banged that guitar out banged your friend's out too.
I have a Carvin DC that plays great, sounds even better. My only real complain about Kiesel is I don't like most of the body shapes they offer. The builds are great.
DC800 I had a 1987 DC135 in white years ago. I was short on cash and sold it. Dumb mistake. http://www.carvinmuseum.com/decade/87-guitars.html
