Gibson Custom Historic 1958 '58 Les Paul Korina Tribute with V Headstock RARE | eBay I'm so confused.
When something becomes as 'rare' as that, I start to believe that it doesn't exist. Looks like an otherwise nice Les Paul that someone Frankensteined a Dean neck to.
It's an actual Gibson headstock. It was rarely used. It's probably legit, but it's full of wut. EDIT: It's legit.
Imagine the re-sale on that. Or rather NO SALE. I think the guy who came up with that design is now working at McDonalds ....... you want fries with that !
My computer won't let me see it! Is that the one with the yellow top and a 4 position pickup slider switch, with the dean v headstock one side is smaller than the other? There is one near me but nobody has bought it in years. I've gotten use to it and I really like it! way too much money though!
That's just nasty looking. Maybe it was some high school shop class project. I love Gibsons, but they have made more "WTF were they thinking?" guitars than all the other companies combined.
I can't fault Gibson for going out on a limb though. Why the hell not? Throw enough shit at the wall and eventually something will stick. Somebody bought those, so Gibson still gets to make money.
You'd be bored making the same guitar for 50 years! It's fairly light, and has a great unique tone. If you had 8 LP's and plenty of money it would be a great guitar to have! It's in the tradition of classical/ flamenco guitar building. Where you can't change the body shape because it's perfect, but you can change the headstock and the components. I wish they would make the LP with other tuners, and minus the scroll border edging on the top of the headstock. That dates from a few hundred years ago. (when you open a book that's what the edge looks like)
i kinda like those ^, maybe like is strong, i couldnt see myself playing one. but there is much worse.
Those reverse V could be worse looking. Some were made with this thing for a headstock! Here's an '09 Custom shop V with the split V Headstock. Mehh.. Now that Zakk version of a Moderne model has be wondering..hmmm... Honestly, a Moderne has never looked this interesting before.
That Dean is the Bruce Dickinson signature! I would love to have that gibson headstock! what guitar it goes on, I hope its an original design. I would definitely have that red flying V also. I'll ALWAYS pass on the moderne!
