I don't like "busy" straps ... like at all. My favorite straps are black cloth ones that I bought at Rudy's in NYC that I've been using for many years. I also have a black leather one that came w/a Fender I bought years ago ... the guitar is long gone, but I kept the strap, and still use it to this day (it's very soft / understated).

As for the guitar in the OP? I'd go straight black, or maybe even straight white. Hell, w/that guitar, you could prob go w/just about any color you want (but I'd keep it to a single color rather than go "busy").

Thanks for the tip. Spent 3 hours while "working" this afternoon and just ordered one of their straps. Looking forward to it.

I've gotten several straps from Brad Harrison @ Well Hung Straps. He's great to work with and wants you totally satisfied with his straps. He has a brown and black python type strap, I think he calls it "dirty honey python," that would look killer on your guitar. The straps are higher priced than the bigger companies. But they will last forever and he can make them to your specs.

Yea we got a lot of pyro stuff from Acme Explosives in Ohio (they are in TX now) back then for our flash pots and stage magic, we had propane shooting out cymbal stands for the fire and a home made 55 gallon barrel with a trap door and hot water heater in the bottom. Dump 25 lbs of dry ice in hot water and you better have that lid properly clamped ! LOL we had the fire dept called onus a few times we had fog two feet deep in the street and smoke boiling out of the doors from the flash bombs and newman fire ! It was fun but sometimes i got a little nurvous watching those fiery flash bombs hit the curtains above some stages. We got lucky there and did have a blast !

I tried a lot of different styles and colors and now, I prefer Levys Classic Cotton Strap 2" black for each of my guitars (electric and acoustic)
    Top quality!

More inconspicuous is the strap, more beautiful is the guitar!

Secured with black Fender strat block (or similar ones from drink bottles) Fender strap blocks.JPG

Each strap permanently attached to each guitar (including when in case)

If difficult to secure the strap with electroacoustic guitar's female jack, I use Daddario CinchFit Acoustic Lock Daddario cinch fit.JPG

If very difficult with electro acoustic guitar (two pickups for example) I put another "passive" strap button IMG_4721.JPG

On the opposite way of acoustic ones, the best place for the strap is here best place.JPG
    because :
1- when you are standing, the strap retains the guitar close to you ( even when you have to unhand the guitar to adjust the mic's stand or clap your hands)
2- and no conflict with the hand when playing high notes ( a sort of blind spot in your hand)

Even if many people strap at the nut on acoustic guitars, I think it's not a good way to preserve the neck integrity

What's more worrying is some people are clueless enough to make a comment on a forum about how the experience and opinions of others should have no value.

I was working after hours (plumber/gas fitter) and took a call from one of Justin Bieber's crew. Their flamethrowers had arrived late and they needed fitting adaptors to connect to our local bottles. Legal minefield to jerryrig/use unapproved fittings/not have signed off by gas inspector, so I passed. Saved possibly bbqin' biebs and several dozen squealing tweens. Sorry MFers :thumb:
