All week, 7 days a week, I don't want to refill water bins, stand in front of the thing in my cold jammies on my cold kitchen tile floor ,follow 6 steps of instructions just to get a hot cup of COFFFEE ASAP. No timers. no filters, no cleaning... I Just want to fill it with water ONCE on Sunday nights and be as close to possible as having the coffee ready for me to grab and drink, EVERY day, HASSLE-FREE, at 6am.

    What.

You are undeserving if this is your idea of a coffee

    :coffee:

It's like wanting to have sex without the mess afterwards

You could get a commercial grade that hooks to a water line and never needs filled.
But that's a whole different price point than the ones you fill up.
The 90 oz reservoir would give you 7 days of 1 - 12oz mugs.
That would give me 1 days worth, so I'm fine with the cheepo fill every time model.

I have friends that can afford a gold plated coffee machines, that although brew a mean cup of java, complain that they are too hard to maintain clean, and that the power shot types merchandize, are too expensive. I asked why they got it then... did not want to support staarbucks and the money that they save from not buying single cups of coffee.
edit: I like the simple $19.95 Mr. Coffee just for the ease of cleaning, but perculators are the best type IMO for The Best tasting cup of coffee.:agreed:

i have a $10 french press from ikea and good coffee.. and cold floors fwiw.. make a better cup than filter or perc imo...

cleaning is simple.. rinse with lots of hot water immediately after pouring the coffee .. done... its up there with just droppin the filter into the trash in terms of clean up

I used the traditional set up for years. Last year we switched to this and I can't imagine going back.
It has a lot of advantages......The wife can have her flavored crap and I can have regular. No filters to worry about just put the pod in and push the button it is very quick. The best part is no clean up.

I buy the cheapest $20 one at Walmart. It gets used daily for a year then tossed and I get a new one, same thing. 600 pack of filters at Costco for $4.

I went through buying more expensive ones, the single serve ones, the k-cup, the Kerig or whatever... and they all die right after warranty expired, are a pain to clean, and honestly add nothing to coffee.

Get a housecoat and some slippers for those cold tile mornings man.

I find the fewer bells & whistles, the better the cup of coffee.

Got a Sunbeam grouphead espresso machine with a 2 litre reservoir. Keep pre-ground Vittoria Arabica in the freezer, gets us a cup better than many cafes. For a quick'n'easy, Nespresso Citiz Mini poddie gets 90% there, with L'Or (by Jacobs/Douwe Egberts) Papua New Guinea pods (2 per cup for moi) :coffee: :yum: :yesway:

That looks like the one my wife just bought today. $150 and she got $20 off I think.

Step up your Java game and demand a great cup of coffee with a DeLonghi Dedica. It's what I use.
