I always thought I was a JCM800 guy, and I am, but after getting more experience with Marshall amps I am realizing I like the hot rodded Plexi tones better.

Are there any amps that will get me great Plexi and JCM800 tones and also have great cleans? If not what are the best hot rodded Plexi amps? Marshall or clones, I don't care.. I've just got to have it :agreed:

1987xl, origin any one of them, I prefer the 50, the 1959, if you can harness its power, and the dirt should come from the od of your choice, with my origin it’s the SD1, set as a clean boost

Do you just turn down tone and drive and use only volume for a clean boost?

Got any Origin Marshall Keeerrraaaannng sounding videos?

One more vote for the Origin, as you said just turn down the Gain knob.
    I also use a TC-E Spark Boost

    +1 for the Origin.
As others have said the pedals you use in front will tailor it to your liking. I use mine with an always on Exotic EP Booster set at about 9 o'clock and then for a lead boost I have a tube screamer in front of the EP.

This is another clip with the studio, amp settings are gain 8 bass 5 treble 8 mids 8 presence 10 tilt 5 + - SD1 same as the other clip (I never change it) the mosfet is on the clean channel, no reverb, and once again the origin is in low power, volume at 3

I'm thinking you want a channel switching amp for easy access to these different tones. For Marshall, I suggest the JVM410HJS. For clones, the Ceriatone King Kong is badass and also covers all the territory you mentioned. I own them both...
