What is the most valuable / respected witness? An eyewitness.

Other than the 3 in the plane, there is only one other person who watched it go down, and that’s his account from what he witnessed from his own eyes.

Still, even as I type that, I wonder why it takes this long to hear the story. It somehow rings true for me, but I’m very skeptical. Maybe there is a part of me that wants it to be true. What if RR was actually a superhero who saved all of those lives? Interesting to think about.
I just wonder when that conversation came out...

I mean, I imagine that it was just a shock, when it happened. I can imagine it being hard to talk about, even between them, at the time. Not that I know Don Airey, but, he seems like an upstanding guy, according to all that have worked w/ him.

The reason you're hearing of it lately, is because Rudy recently wrote a book.

That said, I've met Rudy a few x's. He seems a cool guy, but, sometimes his stories don't seem to line up w/ reality. That doesn't discount this story, but, it does bring on the skeptic in me, probably like V is saying... Who knows if there really was a struggle in the cockpit, & if there was, why???

I think that's an important question, but, unfortunately, one that none of us will ever know the answer to...

Exactly! Was he trying to stop a suicidal pilot from killing numerous people or did he just think he was? Was he just scared that there would be a crash into the bus even though there may not/or flat out wouldn't be had it not been for him struggling with the pilot (if that was actually the case), thus causing his own demise along with the daredevil pilot.

Unfortunately we'll never know.

Somebody with some pull needs to interview Don to get his side of the story on camera. Maybe even Don and Rudy sit down for an interview and spell out exactly what they are talking abvout. That’d be one of the most riveting stories in decades.

IDK... I think he's touring steadily w/ Deep Purple, amongst other things. He's still a busy guy...

It'd be kind of funny pulling him aside at a Deep Purple show & asking about this...

Maybe it was double jeopardy.
The guy wanted his wife dead and THEY wanted Randy dead.
Randy was a straight and narrow playing the game. THEY wanted to make a deal but he would not go to the "crossroads" so THEY had him knocked off.
It seems Randy may have saved others in the wake.

Has no one else figured that?

I have told you all before my farther-in-law avoided the same shit but he and his family did pay a price.
Not that it means much to me but THEY have not fucked with them since I came into their family.

Maybe that was a private thread. Oh well, everyone should know.

They could've been wrestling for control of the plane, or they could've been doing lines off the dashboard. Both Probably look the same from the ground.

Hold up. Are trying to imply that this didn't happen?
🤨
Dio’s grandmother appearing in his dream the night before to tell him a guitar hero will fall from the sky over a jealous lover.

I’m assuming there’s a police report somewhere with way more detail than any of us have ever read?

No way can anyone see fighting inside a cockpit of a low flying moving aircraft especially through a telephoto lens. It is hard enough to follow a football with one, believe me, I have tried.
Just preposterous clickbait crap.
unless it's coming right at you... which it seems it was, as he said he ducked out of the way, which is a typical reaction when looking through a telephoto. The action always looks closer. coming right at you...

From what I gather from the video, Don Airey (and Rudy) were invited to go on the flight, and while Rudy chose to get more sleep, Don went outside to watch. According to Don, he noticed Randy fighting / struggling with the pilot just before the crash. Lots of other interesting tidbits in there as well. The theory is that the pilot, who was in the midst of a bitter divorce from his wife, was actually involved in a murder / suicide mission in which Randy and Rachel Youngblood were unwitting participants. The wife of the guy was on the tour bus at the time, and Don suspects he was actually aiming the airplane toward the bus to kill her, and that Randy was the one who basically saved everybody's life by diverting the plane during the struggle.

I haven't watched the video yet.... so I am making this comment based off of your summary here. This is purely supposition and I am not trying to say that "oh this is what happened for sure." Just an observation and a possible explanation, from my own experience. It could have been a panicking passenger that the person on the ground interpreted as a fight.

One thing I might mention is that I read that Randy was afraid of flying. The plane that they were in was large for a general aviation aircraft but it is still not a big plane. Flying in them is a very different sensation than flying in a large airliner. I am acrophobic (fear of heights) and when I took flying lessons I had to get over the sensation that the airplane was going to tumble out of the air like a rollercoaster. I took a very nervous passenger flying who wanted to see what small airplanes were like. The passenger was not a fan of flying but I told them that I would be gentle and wouldn't deliberately do anything scary. It was a warm day, and thus very turbulent. We hit a thermal and then a downdraft under a cloud and my passenger panicked a bit and grabbed on to the nearest thing available, which happened to be me. Specifically my shirt collar. Fortunately I was a lot bigger than they were and we had a decent amount of altitude and it ended up being a non-issue. I returned my passenger to terra firma and we laugh about it to this day. However, if my passenger had panicked and grabbed the controls it might have been a different story. Incidentally there have been small plane crashes caused by passengers who panic and grab at controls. The whole thing was very tragic, but I don't know that one should attribute malice in a place where there may not have been any.
