I'm looking for speakers to put in a 212 cab and have heard some positive reviews and saw some YouTube videos of Warehouse Guitar Speakers that impressed me. Does anybody have any first hand experience with them? I'm mostly interested in the Invader.
I love WGS speakers . I use the 65's and Green Beret. Also a couple of their 10"s haven't tried the Invader yet.
I'm rethinking the Invader now,it might be a little to smooth sounding for my tastes.I'm wanting something similar to a greenback but, higher wattage.
I have 4 ET'65's, 2 Vet 30's and 1 Invader. They are all excellent speakers for the price point. I like the 65's the best.
Either that or the Retro 30, I was told by them to go with the Retro 30 & ET65. I'm not really sold on them yet, the ET65 is getting broke in but I haven't even started on the Retro yet. Not broke in they sound like shit, and they seem to have a different sound everytime you play them. We'll see how they pan out with time, there are so many factors to consider when picking a speaker. If your buying because you like or want to try WGS fine, but if your buying to save money Sweetwater will drop the price of Celestion speakers to about the same. I think I paid about $115 each for the last 2 CB's I bought.
I saw a video on YouTube where a guy played through a Reaper and a Vintage 30 back to back and, they sounded very similar, The Reaper was more full sounding.
Because they compliment each other. To me they sound similar but their differences compliment each other.
Here is the video.Just so you know, the guy is a death metal producer so most of the riffage is metal with some less metal stiff mixed in.
