Usually I can brainstorm...but sometimes it takes a little more "work".

    Thank you.

everything sounds great, but the drums sound off time. What do you use for drums?

    a guitar player.

seriously,I did the drums myself "live" w/ my Yamaha DTX kit & Acoustica vst kits. there's a couple spots I need to go back & tighten up a hair.

thanx to NR for the lyrics & vocals.
he also laid down some smoking guitar licks but after I heard the vocals I thought it would have sounded a little too much like Lynch Mob (not that that's a bad thing) and a bit busy so I just left it as is and showcased his vocals.:yesway:

Exactly this, something was out of tempo and I couldnt put my finger on it. Otherwise sounded great! Do you record with a metronome through your headphones? If not try it.

To get a good live sound but still have it to a click what I do in my band and solo is, record to a simple drum beat basically a click, kick snare kick snare with some simple closed hats and a crash at the beginning. I change the closed hats to open for chorus and then to rides for breaks and solos. Then when all the guitar's and bass are recorded, I take out the drums and the drummer play's to the perfect tracks with a click or I do it from a midi keyboard(Oxygen49), this can be done with digital or real drums.

With digital you don't want to quantize as much. Sometimes I record the kick and snare pattern and quantize them and then I record the hats with no quantization to give a more live feel but still retain the tight rhythm.

Did you record the guitars to a click?

id nudge the whole drum track(s) back a few milliseconds until its locked up a little closer with your string tracks.

the whole beat sounds a hair behind?

pretty good vox david. it seems like you get stronger every time I hear something new from you. :yesway:

the hair behind method is used often in funk/rock bands (rage against the machine by way of example) and adds "soul" as it were. Nice work guys.

It is a really good song guys, but the timing was too far out for me to just sit back and enjoy. Blues, do you lay down the drum tracks first ?
