    Hello all.
A friend owns a Marshall Valvestate VS265 amp (in the uk).
He is trying to source a replacement mains transformer for the amp. The original transformer is a Drake. We're unsure the model number but it does have a sticker with these alphanumerics on it:
    96B.1..
    37 96
This is a mains transformer with 7 terminals out.
I'm wondering if anybody knows where he may be able to source a like-for-like transformer, or if anybody can provide more info on the transformer.
    Thanks in advance !
    CM

You might try asking in the Workbench subforum.

Are you certain it's the Mains transformer? It's far more likely something else failed or there is a bad solder joint.

    Many thanks.
Yes, been confirmed by a Marshall tech that it's the drake mains transformer.
    Cheers

You’ll probably have to find an authorized Marshall repair shop and have them order one. If it’s still available. I had my Valvestate 8080 repaired a few years ago and it took 6 months to get one part and cost more than the amp was worth. But I really liked the amp and wanted to keep it.
