Still lovin' the '83 Dean V (Ole Yeller) for the hard rock chug tunes we do; although my main player is def got the Les Paul sound and feel for a double cut (vintage Ibanez AR100... Ruby). Shots from our test run of the new Mondo Amphitheater venue on the mountain. We'll open officially next Spring, and hope to host other bands besides us (Mondo Jelly Kings); dance groups; theater productions; maybe even weddings, etc. The V gets that hard, fat bottom and has an overwound MHD Armageddon driving the front of the amps. She's gotten 'prettier' since the last pics I posted. Ahem. Cheers!

68 strat reissue and 900, just out played the gary more and JMP. hate to say it guys but that strat is the real deal. so to is the 900. they do exist and they do wipe the floor when used properly.
Oh boy ! My "V' is an extension of me ! I will post up a bad azz "V' vid I recorded Judas Priest last night at Knotfest and I have to say I was quite impressed by Richie Faulkner's playing and he played mostly "V's" (could be because that was what KK played) MSG "V's" only. They are odd and I bet there are only 3 out of ten guitar players that even like the look . Moose , right on. The Dean's are tone machines ! I found this thing , I didn't even know what this guitar was , ta da : [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2mmZ3cVbUY[/ame] http://www.janusguitars.com/
BINGO! By some strange co-incidence.... Lately I happen to have been playing a 68 re-issue that one of my daughters left here. Through a JCM 900. It's very good. I like it a lot. That Strat seems very 'balanced' in tone. Not too much nor too little of anything. I'll take your word for that dreyn. I'm not knowledgeable about the amp designs. With the 900s I find myself needing to tame the bass when I'm using humbuckers - and, as you say, especially the neck pickups. (It's not a problem with single coils.)
We know that's a good idea. Because of Lonnie Mack. That's why. Still, I won't do it unless I have a SPARE V. Anybody got a spare V, selling for minimal $$?...
V's are cool, so are LP's I've had a couple. But currently I am starting to suffer from a extreme case of DILLIGAF, and have developed a rediscovered love of all guitars pointy, brutal, Shred Trem and EMG Loaded.
finnally you've gone beyond sinner. great! you'll be rockin all sorts of stuff now. the world is your oyster man!
Hey, great guitars blues! you actually took your new guitars out to area 51 and photod them for the marshall forum? great stuff man! I love those things! Ed knows alot. his experience shows in these great products. they ROCK and standout amongst the rocks!
no,I wouldn't own any of those honkers. Ed just ripped off Jackson's Limited Edition Area 51 design & he was nothing more than a ripoff artist to the stars.
I guess a "fluffer" I am then Hmmm don't know which Vs people are playing ...but find yourself a (ANY) Dean Time Capsule V (USA made) and you'll probably start second guessing your LP. I'd put mine up against a LP any day.
http://www.dhaitreguitars.com/ Richie Faulkner took over For KK Downing and plays one but slight variations, they are made bt D'hatre guitars for Janus who is suppose to gearing up to build them. When first saw it on stage I was far away and it looked like a Gibson Custom Shop but that thing is custom for sure ! They seem to be launching the company with Faulker's endorsement ; http://www.janusguitars.com/ [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2mmZ3cVbUY[/ame]
