Treble bleed cap

    They do help quite a bit. I couldn't stand the treble loss and the muddiness when I back off on the volume pot. A simple cap works great for me.

    One great thing about the Clapton strat, with the onboard electronics, there is no loss of tone when dialing back the volume.

    I can't stand Fender volume pots, all the range I use is 6-10, while Gibsons I use it all.

    On my dads tele, and I have no idea what's in there, I get no loss worth mentioning... But on my prs singlecut which is my main guitar, 250pf of silver mica removed my need for a clean channel. It's all rainbows and steak from here on out.

    Yup...on quite a few. Not as critical on a good single coil with a good quality pot into a good tube amp.
