Me too. I have always thought he was one of the most overlooked guys from that era. Great talent. Another victim of the cartoonish 80's hair thing. The spectacle of the times overshadowed some awesome talent.
I know the bands name but dont remember what they did. What was their big hit, I'm flipping through youtube and dont recognize anything.
night songs was a great album. I always wondered how you could sing like that night after night and stay healthy and apparently you cant. Loved their guitar tone.
Since I owned Master of Puppets and Reign in Blood it wasn't socially acceptable for me to listen to hair metal. The girls loved it but us guys had to be harder and faster. I hated almost all of it but Cinderella. I love them and always will. Granted to keep my metal cred I had to hide it but thankfully times have changed, I think I now know how Rob Halford felt in '92.
I saw them headlining with White Lion, Warrant and Tangier in the 80s. I went more so to see Vito Bratta. Tangier had a hit then. Hair bands were never my thing but i didn't dislike Cinderella. They were on point that day and jammed. Keifer sounded great. Ended up enjoying it more than i thought. LaBar had a nice change of pace for the guitar solo when he picked an Ovation acoustic instead of the usual shred fest.
