Guitar technique? How bad gout hurts? ...Ok, don't want to ruin potentials.

Did you know ...the laser gun sound in Star Wars was made by striking a telephone pole support cable?

Did you know ..that Rolex actually started in London, not Switzerland? Pedigree? :nono:

Did you know ...according to her interview, the chick singer from Scandal was offered the singing gig for VH before Sammy was? She was the one who sang "I am the Warrior" in the mid-'80s, fyi.

What might you just know that we ...most likely ...don't?

There are things that I alone know. If I divulge them, it will no longer be the case.

I’ve been to places I can’t even tell my wife and wasn’t allowed to tell my boss. They just knew the customer, but not who the customer worked/subcontracted for :)

funny thing is there’s a big sign proclaiming the name of the place outside on the one I went to most often.

    • Guitar repair

    • What it's like to watch New York become trashed and abandoned.
    • A lot of things I can't discuss on the forum without getting banned by the forum shareholders, then sued, then reinstated, then banned again for getting banned in the first place..

    Some nice ones.

I will complete that gout is the most pain I've ever felt. The area (large big toe joint) looks rather unaffected during it too ..just a slight redness. I remember biting down on my a gathered up portion of my bed covers. :scream:

I also know what it's like to be in a guitar lesson and have 4 guys poke a gun in the door and tell us to come with them. We arrived where the staff was tied-up with guitar cable then they did a half-ass job on us. One guy was completely hog-tied. They left and there ended up being a shoot-out with the cops on their way back to Detroit. At least 1 got shot and killed. Come to find out one was on parole for murder too. I've never used so many hyphens in my life.

The Lexus door locks on a few models. You must pull the door handle the exact time the reach tool pulls the unlock button. Pretty wild, soon as you try to bump the lock button open it will automatically start locking & moving. Timing is everything on this one

Certain BMW models. Tap the unlock button in center console. Then, on Door handle with reach tool..1 pull...2nd pull..3rd it will open. You get 3 tries before lockdown happens

Let's just say that if I ever got on Jeopardy, I'd kick ass as long as the subject matter of modern popular music/pop culture doesn't come up. I'm just chock full of trivial and/or useless information.

That Ohio is flat and takes forever to get through driving through going south? Lol.

Not really looking for personal things we may have done that we don't want to divulge. Maybe like ...there is a sticker on a wall that says ....in the bathroom of a ...famous bar?

I'm the same way especially for WW2 trivia. My 14 year old daughter thinks I'm the most boring person on this planet because I watch documentaries and read WW2 technical books. I'm ok with her thinking that because I was a partier in past. Too old for that now.

Early 'Proof' rating for alcohol was based on a test where a measure rum/whiskey/whatever was poured onto a measure of gunpowder and set alight.
The burning liquid douses the gunpowder until all the water in the spirit has evaporated.
If the alcohol is still burning once the water has evaporated, the gunpowder catches alight.
That is the 100+% proof point.
    Not very accurate!
