I live a little less then two miles from where this current round of riots are happening in Brooklyn Center. No problem, but this damn helicopter keeps stopping and staging right above my house. It sits there for ten minutes then circles around the hot spots and then right back over my house. Its now nice out so I've got my windows open and its like a freaking mosquito in my ear. Well I snapped and grabbed my Dewalt LED spotlight and lit them up. It seems to have worked because they left for a half hour, which I assume they went to refuel, and now they're staging about two miles away in the other direction. So I guess the point is if you want to repel a helicopter or need any impromptu stage lighting grab yourself one of these. Its pretty sweet.

Now the helicopter is a local media chopper, not a police chopper. I know that Mpls and St Paul PD's do not own their own helicopters, and I could see the local CBS logo on the side. I wasn't interfering with anything important.

be very careful. your dealing with different laws when its airborne bro.
treat it like a FBI helicopter. same rules would apply.

That looks like one serious illuminator! I used to have a dive light of similar size that would make a pitch back campground look like 12 noon.

Used to be but gave it up about 20 years ago. Sold all my gear off a few years ago, had kept it around for a long time thinking I would pick it up again but finally realized my aging body wouldn't put up with the physical stress of diving.

Its probably the best spotlight I've ever had. My Dad turned me onto them. He gave me his to check out the deer in his fields. 5 to 600 yards is nothing with this. Grab a bigger battery though, it drains the small ones quickly.

I also use it for bow fishing and its great.

The Feds helicopters are all black with no lighting. I've dealt with them before too. I won't go into detail but expensive lawyers are worth every penny. Lol.

Here where I am, they will throw you in jail for shining any aircraft..
I have often thought when those Ghetto Birds buzz my house, hit em with my Cave Dive light..
    That would drop the bird..
But many here have gotten locked up, so I thought to SEFF, Not a good idea, but would b fun.
