Hi,
Recently bought a Studio Jubilee Head 2525H & 2536 Jubilee Cab. When using the Clean channel with the Output Master (at any volume) pulled I get no sound whatever the Input Gain is set at. If I pull the Input Gain (Rhythm Clip) I get a little intermittent guitar signal. The Lead channel Output Master pushed in seems to work fine as the Lead channel, with the LED indicator coming on.

In regards to the Clean channel, I have tried switch cleaning lubricant on the Output Master, Lead Master, Input Gain controls. I have also cleaned the input guitar jack hole plus the Effect Loop jack holes. I used a working spare ECC83 in each position, same with the EL34's. I have also swopped out all the original valves and used a full set of working valves, nothing has solved the problem.

Anyone had this sort of problem and any ideas how to resolve ?
Thanks.

Looking for something I don't remember what.
Thanks KT, it’s a 2nd hand amp.
It may still be under warranty....depends when the amp was built. If out of warranty, I would contact Marshall, take it for a service and have a tour of the factory while you were there....if they are still doing tours, post Covid.
Sounds like it's definitely Tech time however you go about it.

Thanks Georgiatec, it’s from 2018 one of the ‘pre Studio’ mini Jubilee’s. It came with a matching 2536 2x 12 cab. Visually it is mint with very light use and unlikely it was gigged. There are a couple of Tech options here in Manchester, but not a bad call on the Marshall suggestion.

Yeah....It's a 300 mile drive there and back, but they will fix it while you wait (or take the tour) then go through what was wrong when you pick it up. You normally get to try it before you go too. Something quite spiritual about playing a Marshall amp actually IN the factory it was built in.

I did get my 1959 SLP ( a 1974) serviced at Marshall a while back. I dropped it off en route on a golf trip. Picked it up 4 days later and they had it ready with a Les Paul ready to rock. Unfortunately I had a large hangover (more drinking contest than Golf) and the last thing I wanted to do was to hear me playing !

Another fellow golfer
I'm a member at Holyhead, Anglesey, close to where I now live. You may have played there as the course is very popular with holidaying Mancunians.

Reminds me of a bad potentiometer. They usually start acting up before dying however. They get “scratchy”, static, sometimes slightly loose. I tech all my own gear, that’s about all I can say as I don’t own one of those amps. Good luck!

Thanks Spooky88, am getting the amp checked out this week hopefully it's a straight forward issue.
