I also got a DSL20HR in March 2021 and have no problems with it at all. I alternate running it into one of three 1X12 cabinets, two open back, one with a Greenback and the other an Eminence Governor. One closed back with a V30. The one I like the best is whichever one I was playing last.

I live in Sweden (northern Europe). Just checked some Swedish web shops and the DSL20HR is available to order.

    I got a 20CR last month, a 2020 make , forgetting the month.
    No issues.
    Fine little amp.
    I play at both 10 & 20w and ...
The reverb maybe of studio quality but that studio is pretty ill reputed
So have to get a reverb pedal, for ages been using amp reverbs, that's gonna change.
Otherwise the amp has no issues, yes, the gain on clean channel is ok!
But all in all a keeper, for me.
It has nice.pedal platform on clean channel which I dime using my BD2/TS mini as a boost if I want more gain
The Ultra channel is beautiful n full of Marshall tones.
    Digging the amp...
@BlueX sorry for your wait, sure it will be worth it:pops:

Well they say, good things come to those who wait, right? So I’m waiting. The store I ordered from is showing expected dates of Aug.20 for the cab and Sept.12 for the head. I hope they both arrive on Aug.20.

Well I’m not a speaker cork sniffer. Overall I find the 70/80 really does suck. Might be passable for clean and very very light crunch once broken in, but the more hair you bring on, the more it falls behind many other speakers. Make it work if you don’t have the cash but absolutely worth changing if you can afford it. Not looking to argue, I’ve just had much different experiences with these in many amps and cabs.

    cheers

No worries JBA, I appreciate the comments. Knowing me, I might even swap them out down the road. All I’m hoping for is that it keeps me happy for now. I just don’t want to spend more on it right now otherwise I’d just order a different cab.
    Hey wait….a different cab…..?…..no! STOP THAT:confused:

Right on. If you ever want to change, there is lots of experience here. Just need to ask what is the global opinion for best speaker with amp x, guitar(s) x, and music style(s) x and you will likely be very happy.

I found the 70/80 ok at home where you probably play at lower volumes but the louder you dial up the amp the more shrill and fizzy they get and the less I like them.

I’m getting pissed now. It seems Marshall has pushed back the delivery date by yet another month. Now L&M is projecting Oct 20th for my head. Cab still says Aug 11th.
Tell you one thing, I’m not picking up and paying for the cab two months before the head.

    Definitely not.
Who's to say head will reach by Oct 20th and not Nov 10 th.
    Keep your options open.
    Feel for ya...
Getting hold of musical instruments are becoming a pain... I waited for nearly s month for a origin 20h and then went for DSL, don't regret it a bit!
Finally the origin came in, this month...
    So yes, good decision
