Too long: did not submit to concentrate fully on the entire, two hour, audio-visual presentation.

    Sorry Ozzk. (TM)
Things might be different on another night.

Really cool interview and what a down to earth guy Petrucci is.

The way he describes the music scene on Long Island is dead on. I grew up 10 miles from where he was and am the same age. It really was an amazing time. When you hear guys like him and Vai say how hard they had to work, that it was harder for them and they aren't naturals, is inspiring to me. Although my time is past, it makes me practice more now just for the satisfaction of growing in the instrument. (Btw, I think Chris Collins sang a rehearsal with my friends band a few times back in the day, maybe)

The gear run through is fascinating as well. He really gets detailed without getting technical. Makes me want all that gear but that "simple" rig is like $7k.

Thanks for posting that. I could watch that a hundred times. One of the all-time greats, and seems like the most likeable guy in history.

He's almost too cool to be a cool rock star. He's too nice!

Kinda like Tom Araya (Slayer). That guy is a savage on stage. Then, you see his interviews and the guy is the most gentle soul you'll ever meet. :agreed:

Thanks Gianni but this is not helping me.
I'm spinning out into a realm of more questions: what exactly IS a rock? - what exactly IS a dog? - What exactly IS a bird?

    These are all tricky questions.

Don't know who this captain guys is, but it's always great to see and hear Petrucci play. Also great to see him take some time and talk about gear. One question I'd like to ask Petrucci: Are you trying to go for a Karl Marx look now?

    Thanks for posting/sharing, Ozz.

He owns a guitar shop on the UK. Really great store and their service is awesome.
Him and his irritating mate do a lot of gear demos online. He seems like a good guy.
