VW Rabbits are and were great cars. Good looking too! We had (3) of them at different times and I always liked driving those little diesels.

Personally, I like the smell of fuel oil and diesel exhaust over gasoline, not like I want to smell it much more than a second or two, but when I am at a stop light with the windows down and get a whiff, I'm like oh yeah a diesel engine!!!

I wouldn’t mind getting an old Rabbit again just for fun. Maybe a nice old gti. The first gen Scirrocos were cool too but are rarer than hen’s teeth these days.

I had a 71 411 fast back with a 5 speed that I bought for $250 and I rebuilt the motor with bigger intake ports and loud exhaust. It was a lot of fun.

The only electric vehicle I'd consider buying would be a Porsche Taycan. But I'd much rather get a 911.

Another thing when it comes to electric cars and the environment..

The last time I looked, the batteries that power those things are made of Lithium, which has to be mined, which will have a detrimental effect on the area being mined. And which also means that the supply is going to be limited, just like oil. And lithium can't be recycled, so when the batteries go dead your electric car will have to be pulled by a mule team or parked, and the batteries will just have to pile up somewhere.

It seems everything that's "going to be SO good for us" winds up not being as great as it was hyped to be, and quite often winds up being a or two step backward...Kind of like margarine!

No one gives a price so I will take it as it cost in the 7 figures.

I thought the price would be outrageous but @ $130k its alot of car with 1475 RWHP out of the box...
Some of the so called High End Porche, and other electrics cost its not half bad for what it is...
    The Porche lists base @ 103k..Hummer Ev @112k...Tesla models S,X, 3, 35k-124k...,,
Bet the high enders from Tesla would not even catch the Ford...:agreed:
