I notice that everything seems to have a reserve price. Things that didn't sell, sold to "the floor", for considerably higher than the set opening bid.

Some of those Peaveys were stripped bare. No trans', nor looks like guts, etc. Just dummies, wired w/ lights to look active?

I couldn't see paying $1-2K for that...

these started at $100K & $125K respectively...



sold to "floor" for considerably higher. They didn't sell. If they got any offers at all, they weren't high enough. If there were no bids, they didn't want to to say that it was "passed", or that nobody wanted the items...

I wouldn't pay anything for a dummy either.

Did you see the Lead 12 combo sold for $2350 ? Crazy prices on some items but decent on others.

it's M-1 ... the main amp for 1980 and 1981, used with his 58 and 59 Les Pauls
you outbid me by $100 on that last M-2

I quit on # 56 after it went over 2k. I was the $1900 bid right before the auction. Good for you. It was a fun little game. But once the price started getting into reissue 1987x territory my guts knotted up.

Exciting? No. Slightly cooler? If you're a fan, maybe.

Unless you've seen Ted perform, people just don't get it. It's fun, loud and over the top and that's just his guitars..
