You don’t have to buy it, but it is the truth. Everything from bent metal to power supplies to wire and cable is going way up. Lumber is at a premium. Get used to it.

I bought the 50h when it came out.

definitely overpaid. The difference in price with the SC20 was well worth it

Seriously man, you’re gonna buy an Origin20, again for the third time?!

    If I’m not mistaken?!

That's not the part I'm not buying. This is:

a custom built JCA22h for $499 (complete with JCM800 circuit)
    a DSL20h for $499
    a 6505MH for $599
    an EVH5150III for $599
    an InvectiveMH for $699
    an MT15 for $749
    a Marshall studio for $1399...

Marshall isn't charging more than double what anyone else is because of inflation, they're doing it because it says "Marshall" on the front...

Not surprising. Jet City is China, DSL is Vietnam, 6505 is China, EVH is Mexico and the Marshall is UK.

Personally I will happily spend the extra money to get a Marshall amp made in the UK—if you want a cheaper Marshall buy the Vietnam stuff. Which says ‘Marshall’ on the front as well. Otherwise, sounds like you are going to have to save your pennies to get what you obviously really want.

wait until you find out how much the UAW pensions and insurance plans add to the cost of GM cars.

labor prices aren’t equal in every country.

Nah. Marshall found these amps sell well. Hence the $100 celebration price. And believe me...they're sitting in their meeting room smoking a blunt giggling.

Cause people want! Quit wanting mutherfuckerz!:D

New retail prices I’ve seen recently on Marshalls made in Vietnam seem to be up about $50 since the first of this year.

PRS Standard 24 is now about $80 more than I paid for mine a couple months ago - but it does include a gig bag and may have a different nut material. Otherwise, it seems the same.

The 6505MH for example, is also an EL84, SS PI amp. Lots of features but not built like the Marshall IMO and also made in China. Can't speak for Jet City.

I have decided to keep saving for now! I am not in any hurry to get one as long as they are available then were good. I don't think I am going to get the Origin20h again yet but if I had the enough funds to get both then why not. If a used SV20h comes up and its fair then maybe I can snag it. But for now I will keep saving until I have enough and or the prices come down. Which ever first. Side note my local bottle redemption opened back up and somebody bought enough in and walked away with $6500! I am like holy crap. That would be a serious gear fund for sure. It would be awesome to do something like this but it would be a lot of work. My head would be spinning!

    Unlikely

Most amps are, by tradition, built by middle aged women and grannies.

They're probably having cake with some very Irish coffee

That’s my point—those amps are no more than a myth.

If you want a US or U.K. made (not ‘assembled in’) amplifier you are going to have to pay for it.
