Are there any strat pickups that you like that are under $100 which you think are as good as or nicer than Fender pickups that you can get for around $100 (ie TexMex, 57/62)

Ive heard of these pickup companies:
    ToneRider
    IronGear
    Bill Lawrence
Rose Pickups (they have closed shop temporarily due to too many orders)

    Tried any of these?

Im modding a Squier strat and need recommendations. Ive only bought Fender in the past but would like to try something new and purchase < $75. Thanks

Can't go wrong with Bill & Becky Lawrence's pups. Have a set of their Micro coils in a Tele.
    Excellent pure sound.
Take a look at the GFS pups for Strats. I've got one of the Jimi staggered pups in the neck position of my Squire MIJ Strat. For the price most definitely worth a try.

Didn't know that Rose Pickups had temporarily closed due to too many orders, but that doesn't surprise me. Ken winds great pickups, and the price is right as well.

I ordered some Strat pickups (the Heritage set) from him a couple of years ago - for a MIM Strat I have - and they are fantastic pickups.

Im lookin to get a set too, i think im gonna try non staggered this time, gettin burnt out on the hella loud G string. The GFS 70's grey bobbin looks interesting to me.

    JBE pickups.
They preserve the Fender tone and high frequency, but they are hum-bucking.
This design was developed with Danny Gatton, the world's greatest un-known guitar player.

I will also recommend Lollar, who has put Charlie Christian PUs on a Strat, and it sounds so killer.
I think it may be the best sounding Strat I ever heard.
