Great news everyone: Bo, Steve's mirrored JEM that went missing this past weekend, has been found left in the bushes at the gate on Steve's property. We do not have any more details on how it got there and will perhaps forever remain a mystery. The entire Vai camp is grateful for all the amazing outpouring of support we have seen regarding this issue over the last week. Bo is now ready for 2016 and all the notes she will once again be singing from Steve’s fingers and soul.

Vai looks like a cracked out Eddie Van Halen in that pic.

    My theory:

Dip S**t sees opportunity to steal guitar and does.
Brings it to Vai worshiping friend or relative.
Said person slaps the snot out of Dip S**t.
Makes Dip S**t return guitar and does so by cowardly sticking it in the bushes.

Off topic but, that quilt is awesome!

    LOL

...yup the stage fans are gone, now he just does these weird gestures on stage. Moreso than before.

Have a look at "Stillness in Motion". Awesome show.

Was waiting for him to step up to the mic "...anyone here have any Grey PouPon? ..." and then check his manicure.

his humor is weird. He bashes status quo; while exposing his own shallowness.

    does that make sense?

Frank was the quintessential Rock Star who kinda faded, then mocked status quo in order to become status quo.

    the mirage guitar.
it looks like you could play it but it seems to be a homeing guitar.

the good thing about steve being older than most, is we can learn from his mistakes.

he must talk about something and still people pickon him for speaking. shame shame shame.

do you want him to talk about global adoption schemes?
    where he buys his fashion?
    global food banks?
    how to end world poverty?
    I don't think so!

there's not alot of topics left to talk about. so give the guy a break!
everything's a pose. everyone notices he different. you're different too, I've noticed.

just STOP attacking celebrities! the next thing we'll see is u shooting him ...... :(

    focus your life elsewhere.

I couldn't care less if steve spins around and eats 5 chips.
nothing is important in that game.

Yeah its so typical....people judging one of the very top musicians in the business, who probably does more in a day that most people do in a lifetime.

    Such petty behavior I think.

But its always passed off as a "I was just kidding"

Some people just love to rack down on others who have done far better than themselves.

    I just dont get it.

Any time if seen or heard Vai interviewed, he came across as a genuine, sincere, dedicated musician. Unless I'm missing something, he is a dude who fell in love with guitar and committed his entire life to it. His resume and list of credits certainly qualifies the idea that he can be counted among the best in the business.

    I'm not understanding the hate?

I don't know the guy personally, but I wonder if what some folks perceive as 'ego' is more a reflection of his unwavering prioritization on success. I suspect he is just wired to achieve...that is what fuels his engine (and likely a huge part of why he 'made it' as a musician) I don't think that makes him a bad guy. Perhaps he doesn't come across as well-rounded, or like a 'next-door neighbor' kinda guy, but I'm still not seeing how that makes him worthy of derision.
