This one is not the best quality, but I prefer the amp he used during this era. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emDQlJ6H_8Y]Steve Morse Band - "Tumeni Notes" - Live in Florida, 1990 - YouTube[/ame]
Whoa.. Who let that tone outta' the bag! I dunno about Steve.. I know he's a much loved played by many musicians but I just don't enjoy anything he plays. But I also like other crap that everybody else hates, like Deep Purple, but without Steve.. But theres no doubting he's doing and playing what he loves, and thats all that counts.
Absolutely, agree. Additionally, Vai and Satriani have the same kissing lips in the photo. See? It's the tough-macho "can kiss like a cool man" lips. And good ol' Morse don't. He might have re-Morse, being pictured with a lip like that. I like him!
Hey Marshallmaniac, Listen to Steve's album Southern Steel, some cool fusion like guitar. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7RoPQLfbaU]Steve Morse Band - Sleaze Factor - YouTube[/ame]
I like the idea of Steve Morse joining Satriani and Vai on G3. I don't like the idea of Steve Lukather on the G3 Tour. Morse is an amazing musician with a good body of work under his belt, though he hasn't achieved the commercial success as a solo artist like Satriani or Vai. I love "Highland Wedding," "Cut to the Chase," "Tumeni Notes," and a few others. His right hand picking technique is awesome, but his right hand technique for classical and other styles is just as great. I've studied Andres Segovia, Christopher Parkening, Manuel Barruenco, Pepe Romero, John Williams, Elliot Fisk, Juliam Bream, and a few others, all of which have amazing technique. I gotta say that after experiencing some of those master classical guitarists, I think Steve Morse would be more than capable of being in that same company.
When the promoter said he'd got Steve Morse for the gig he told Joe and Steve V. to remain tight lipped.
