Solo/Boost Pedal recommend for DSL20H

I think I may have found the solution to getting my DSL20HR loud enough for our "pub gigs",but i'd like to try a Solo/Boost pedal for "leads" with the Ultra Channel,a bit of extra gain might be nice as well .

Boss LS-2 in the loop, your lead fx connected to the LS-2...
...one stomp activates them all plus you have adjustable volume with up to 20 db clean boost

Thanks,Johan i'm just talking about running a Pedal into the "front" of the Amp,that's about as technical as I can get.
Just had a thought reading your post I have a Boss Graphic "somewhere" would that work as bosst into the front of the Amp.
You can probably tell i'm useless with Pedals.

 

TC Electronic Spark Mini in the loop set at 3 O'Clock works for me.

Yes I have the 4 knobs version, one as a Fat boost and one as a clean boost.
However, I don´t have them active at the same time.

 

I can't say enough good things about the TC Spark, @tce63 turned me on to it! What a great pedal. it's a clean boost, a mid boost, a fat boost and a a bit of a overdrive pedal. Now I'm talking about the 4 knob ones like the pic TC posted, it's got controls for Treble, Bass, Gain and level, (output). Also a mini 3-way toggle switch,...Clean boost, fat boost and mid boost.

And one or the best thing about the Spark is it's totally transparent, it doesn't color or change the tone of your amp. It's my favorite pedal, it really makes my SC20h come alive at low or high volumes! Give it a try @Graham G,... @solarburnDSL50 found them on Amazon for $87,...normally $129.

It's funny with this pedal on Amazon. It keeps changing price. Usually under a $100. I paid $80 4 days ago. Keep your eyes on it. I got it from Advent FBA on Amazon. It's a great pedal!

 

Spark is great but won’t do much good in front. Put it in the loop.

Why do you say that? I've got it out front with my Maxon OD9 and it sounds great! What's the advantage of having it in the loop? I've got my EQ pedal in the loop, only because someone suggested it. I took it off the front and put it in the loop and I don't really hear any appreciable difference.

No, I Use my sparks in front, beacuse i have a few amps and it is easier that way to change amp.

In front. With our amps a nudge is in its wheelhouse.
I can see running after the gain stages in the loop. No hard rule though. Whatever works for our needs.

I too usually run EQ in loop especially gigging.

 

I have been borrowing my soundmans DSL20H for gigs recently. I have only used the JRAD Archer Ikon and can report that it works wonderfully, in front of the amp.

 

I love the MXR CAE boost/ line driver. they are pretty much non existant in australia where i am from and im not sure weather to buy it or not. Im currently 75USD short for my sv20h thats coming in june/july, and the pedal will cost 65USD. Which will then mean im roughly 130USD short. I have still have four months to save some cash and will 100% get that money in late august and take it out of my savings in the mean time. Im just so torn

65 is a decent price (for australia)
it will stay on my board close to forever
ill be abit short for the SV
