Just so many good tones with Marshalls...but no mention of Blackmore, tons of great tones...early Skynyrd live, oh man(some might argue PV but sounds more Marshally to me)!

Doug Aldrich. His guitar tone is always killer.

Richie Blackmore’s Strat and a Marshall were just bad ass.

Rainbow was my first concert when I was like 13 yrs old.My mom dropped me and a friend off at the nassau coliseum,LI. like 8 hours early lol. That was like 1975 -76? Can you imagine doing that now? Dio was the singer and it was so loud I'm just now getting my hearing back.lol. Eye opening experience, pot smoke filled the air,m- 80's were going off all around us.Good times.

Love the Hawkins boys! Also, the kid in Greta Van Fleet gets some mighty tasty tones from an Astoria and an SG.

Remember, Pages Les Pauls were stock until well after Zep disbanded.

I can't find a video, but Richie Sambora's live tone at the (2003?) Super Bowl half time show was fracking great.

These guys all have something in common, it's that they all have great Marshall tones!

Already commented, but want to throw out a name I never hear. Mick Ralphs. His BadCo tone is another I aim to get. Guess I love that mid to late 70s heavy crunch.

Eddie's pretty much the guy who got me into tone chasing and tone in general.

Paul Kossoff had an amazing understanding of Marshalls and how to get all the possible tones and dynamics out of them. The whole Free Live album is amazing.

That, as well as Monterey Pop and Miami Pop-era Hendrix definitely feels like peak Marshall for me.

Van Halen 1 and 2 are a tie for me.
VH II for warmth and VH I for raw balls and power.
