I have a JMP1 and a JTM1, and they get played all the time. A lot of people complained about the price when new. Maybe they weren't priced too bad after all.

People are getting nuts when it comes to the little stacks anymore..any of them. I just watched a lead 15 ministack, not the good one (imo) with the FDD switch sell for $410..nuts. the lead 15 cabs aren't ply like the lead 12 cabs, and the mg's with the FDD sound better imo than the non FDD mg's.

At the moment I only have the JTM1 Offset stack, got it used, a little pricy but worth every penny, fantastic amp !

What's the difference between a Lead 12 and a Lead 15 in terms of years sold, specs, etc.? And what's the FDD switch?

I've loved the microstack since day one and I always keep a couple in the flock, but your right, the prices have got so high lately its insane. I think a lot of it has to do with not only their reputation, but the fact that there are a ton of small bedroom sized studios now.

FYI, the lead 15 and the MG15MSII are the same amp with different names. Lead 15s, are rare, the MG15MSII version is pretty easy to find.

They're pretty amazing for solid state amps, too.

    I LUST after a JTM1H.

There are at least 3 versions of the lead15 mini head that I can find, Including The fx version above. More if you count the zakk and mustaine versions as different.

The Lead 15 and the Lead 15msii are not the the same. The msii is the one with the FDD switch. s-l1600-1.jpg crqb1uc0oe2qtswratov.jpg

Idk about actual specs, but the lead 15msii is a more modern sounding amp, has reverb, and the FDD switch which I guess stands for frequency dependent dampening..it like a resonance switch, it adds bottom..makes the amp sound fuller. The lead 12 is more of a vintage sounding amp with little for extras..it's small size was novelty enough for its time.

Incidentally, the MG15MSII has a real spring reverb and it actually sounds good.

I think the Zakk Wylde edition is the same thing with different cosmetics.
