Sd1 noisy as hell? X2

    Figures. I had my RC-3 open just for fun and because I was wondering how they implemented the storage and USB. All SMD.

    YES.

    I've only had old ones from the 1980s, but

    HELL YES. Noisy.

    Most BOSS designs from BITD were noisy.

    How old is your SD1 ?
    Do you have the serial number from the battery compartment ?

    If its old , it could just need a freshen up internally !
    Caps dry out , tone suffers , noise happens .

    Nope, that's not normal. I haven't a clue as to why it's making that noise, but it shouldn't.

    Ive fixed a lot of noise issues with the SD1 due to old dried out caps .

    Return it or use the warrenty. If the new one does the same thing then something else going on.

    Agree here, just return it....Should be quiet - probably a an anomoly but if you get a second and an issue It probably is not the stomper

    I took mine apart for the same reason. I thought it might have bad connection but it looks ok. What kind of mods do you do. I forgot it’s been a while.
