Oh man... one of the greatest of all time no doubt. Didn't even know he was ill. RIP
Too young...very sad.
Oh man. That sucks. Great talent. One of my favorite bands growing up..2112 is still one of my favorite albums ever. Very sad, and way too young. Drummers everywhere are heartbroken today, as are millions of kids of the 70s. Rest in peace Mr. Peart. Thanks for the grooves.
I just heard this two minutes ago! Brain cancer...they all kept it quiet for 3 years they said here on 97 Rock. Wow, I am shocked. RIP Niel...the best drummer ever bar none!
Damn. That came out of no where.
Nooooo! Wow. He wrote the book for rock drumming. Who can forget his drumming on Tom Sawyer or Yyz.
I'm still shocked. Despite being a guitar player I'm a drummer in my heart... one of my favorites, one of the greatest!
While I’ve never liked Rush, he was absolutely a great talent. Condolences to his family.
Well..at least hes now reunited with his wife and daughter!
Not just a drummer, but a true percussionist.
we think alike. i thought the same when i saw the headlines.
RIP Neil. go be with your family brother.
Yep, hope they are together, crazy to have to go through that and last this long, I know I couldn't.
Just saw this - how sad.
Neil was an incredible drummer and lyricist. His inspiration will live on. Rest in peace Mr. Peart.
I never really loved Rush either but in high school all the drummers I knew totally idolized his playing; it's gonna be a sad time for lots of fans.
Pretty young too.
Damn. I had no clue
The passing of an age.
A great Canuck musician & lyricist bites the dust.
Our condolences to friends and family.
As Neil would tell us....the beat goes on.
