Post everything and anything that sucked about 2020.
Shorter list of what didn’t suck .
There is no "wrong hole".
Would Mrs. Im247frogs agree with that statement?
What didn't suck is that this summer had the nicest weather I can ever remember. In fact, I don't think it was ever, in my 150 years, as good as this summer was in terms of the weather. I rode my motorcycle more times this summer than ever and it was great.
Now, the suck? There is no beginning or ending to that. Due to recent events it looks like it's "suck" here on out too.
Everything sucked in 2020...
I mean there has been SOME positives but everytime someone else dies (like EVH) it hits me right in the feels and I’m back outside shaking my fists at the skies yelling at the clouds WHYyyyyy! Meanwhile some of worst MFers on the planet just keep on goin.
We still have some time left, so don't give up hope that it might turn out to be a pretty good year after all
What am I most looking forward to myself? Thanksgiving turkey & Christmas ham
Few things i can think of that sucked totally:
#1 Covid 19 and all of its wickedness
#2 Senseless killings that triggered horrible riots
#3 A terribly divided country that needs to unite itself
#4 The ever growing list of celebrity and musician deaths
#5 Global Wildfires
Lots more but those ring out the loudest
I'm just going to hold off on complaining about 2020...yeah, it sucked.....but there's no guarantees that next year will be any different at all. Could get better.....but it could also get worse.
It could be worse.
How could it possibly be worse?
It could be raining.
But I will say this..If years were characters from movies, 2020 would be Darth Vader!
#2. You mean the criminal drug addict who ODd on fentanyl and, because of the color of his skin, the people blamed the police?
Crime and punishment....not politics.
but I get ya...
I intentionally left the persons killed section vague without naming any one person, because there were killings globally, not just the US, that triggered unrest and riots this year. Certainly not a political topic
Speaking of Covid....i just got informed an hr ago that I have been directly exposed to two confirmed cases at a hospital Ive had to work at. We are working on a remodel at this hole in the wall hospital in my town and going back to March, we were given explicit instructions by our international union to walk off any job if we felt there was significant exposure risk. This job is a daily risk but when we tried to leave, they threatened to sue our company for damages and thus i was labeled an essential worker and forced back in.
Ive taken ridiculous levels of precautions to avoid exposure and wear a mask daily inside and out. I have bent over backwards to keep from bringing it home to my wife and kids, when others refused to ever wear a mask. I wash down groceries and my debit card daily. Hands chapped from sanitizer burn. And now, i go to work today and after 4hrs of being there and doing our daily prescreening, the hospital reluctantly tells the contractors we've all been directly exposed by 2 patients nearby our work area and are requiring more PPE than we have readily available.
Im genuinely scared shitless if you want the truth and i cant even get a test until at least 5 days from now over exposure times
I think you’ll be fine. It has a 98% or something survival rate.
get well soon!
Like LPHack said you’ll probably be okay. It is scary stuff though; so unpredictable.
I have a friend in NOLA who caught it- never needed a hospital but had a fever for two months and is still not fully recovered.
A crap year for sure.
