- The DSL40CR is $1,050...over a thousand dollars now.

- The 20CR is $900...$900 for a 20-watt combo. The 5-watt combo is $800 (Would you spend $800 on a 5W amp?).

- The DSL20HR is $800 now.

- The DSL1HR is $550...$550 for a 1-watt amp head.

- A 1x12 cab is $1,100 (I'll get right on that).

I've just looked up prices in Germany/EU and posted this in another thread.

These are the best prices in Germany (new from authorized sellers like Thomann etc. and not "B-Stock"):

SC20H: 799 Euros
SC20C: 879 Euros
SV20H: 819 Euros
SV20C: 849 Euros

DSL5CR: 419 Euros
DSL20HR: 419 Euros
DSL20CR: 498 Euros
DSL40CR: 666 Euros
DSL100HR: 649 Euros

JVM205H: 1099 Euros
JVM215C: 1179 Euros
JVM205C: 1299 Euros
JVM210H: 1090 Euros
JVM410H: 1199 Euros
JVM410C: 1499 Euros

I pretty sure they will get higher here in near future too.
Costs for shipping/transport exploded lately so that's probably the main reason why they are so expensive in the US now.
The tube shortage doesn't make it better and also adds cost because Marshall can't currently produce enough amps to meet the demand.
If you look at Thomann's webshop many of the more popular Marshall amps are currently out of stock, some with delivery times up to several months.

Everything going up. I bought a Mesa Mini Recto about 8 years ago or so for $999. Sold it.
They are now $1749. A mini 25 watt head.

Even more locally made stuff like a Traynor combo has gone up. YCV20 is a 15 watt 1x12 combo.
$1099. No import fees or shipping overseas.
Not just a Marshall problem.

Funnily the prices for Mesa amps went down here in Germany since Gibson took over.
The Mini Rectifier is now 1349 Euros here.

Just bought a mini recto 3 weeks ago for a lot less than that..preowned, and It was mine years ago, Mint w the bag n factory stuff for $700..seemed like a deal.

And I sold a dsl40c a couple years ago for $350..guess I shoulda waited..lol. can't win them all I guess.

I was about to start a similar thread. I've been thinking about buying a Studio Vintage for awhile. After watching some of Johan's videos on it, that was it. Selling some gear and getting it. Look it up and... $1899.99 Canadian?!! $2100 after tax?!! Sheesh, it was only $1499 a few months ago. That's into full Plexi territory. Used ones are now $1600. I'll stick with the DSL 50.

I'm pretty grateful I decided to purchase my first Marshall tube amp (Origin 50 head) last February at just under $425.

Today I checked the current price and it's $750.

Its a bullshit world . Best is to NOT buy at this time . Its gone nuts . Gouging , ripping off and laughing to the bank is the big trip these days . I refuse to fuel this crap . Even the used market gone nuts . No real reason for that . Everyone wants - "in on it" it would appear . Blaming the war , gas , inflation ... bla bla ... anything goes . Fk it . I no buy it .

I bought my DSL20HR in Feb 2018 when they came out. It was $499, and minus a 15% GC discount and plus tax, it came to $450.xx.

At $800 plus tax, it has nearly doubled in 4 years.
