Thanks. I'll see what I can do this week.
Just finished a new Floyd inspired jam track for us. I posted the original I did with some of my web jamming buddies on the Post Your Riffs thread. Someone posted a drum track and a guy by the name of Frankie added the Floyd inspired chords with the cool modulated reverb & delay Michael Landau and others made famous decades ago.My buddy Ernie from Canada added the bass.
I took that, the version I posted on Post Your Riffs and and another version another dude did with synth additions and cut them up and rearranged them to make this jam track for Rick's Clam Shack.
Amp: I tried to do this with the Musket fuzz & BD-2 shown in the track image into my Bassman 70 loaded down with a MASS 100. Unfortunately that was way too noisy for silent recording so I used my Rockmaster preamp again instead. My Silvertone 1482 is a beast with a fuzz but I can't crank a small combo to the verge of meltdown at 5 am. I would love to take a crack at this eventually with that.
EFX: Valhalla Supermassive plugin for delay and reverb
Here are the track details: 65 BPM in the key of F
Synth intro from 0:00 to 0:49
Lead 1: Riffraff 0:54 to 3:33
Synth break from 3:34 to 3:59
Open for additions from 4:03 on - HAVE FUN!
Very nice, Raff!
I'll fill her gap at 4:03 I suppose. Try 'n lay in something creamy.
What up bruddas.
Here's another track you can download and jam on.
Guitar: MIM Telecaster, stock except for the Kent Armstrong Chaos pup in the bridge slot.
Amp: '80 Bassman 70 cranked & boosted
EFX: Route 66 OD out front, Two-Notes - Michael Nielsen's BHC IRs and Valhalla Supermassive plugin for reverb & delay
I added a lead up to 1:22 so 1:23 to 2:44 is open for additions. HAVE FUN!
Nice work once again Riff
Thanks Mitch. I appreciate the listen & kind words.
No problem brother..
Bump for the guys that might have some time off and want to jam.
I added something to the Blues in Bmin-
Gibson Les Paul 1958 Reissue into a Marshall JTM45, slightly pushed with a Catalinbread Naga Viper
Mic'ed with a Sennheiser E906
The Drums are just some generic Patterns from Addictive Drums. If some still wants to have a go, I have uploaded the Track to my Soundcloud without the Drums.
I’ve got a little time off coming up after Christmas so I’ll be playing catch up!! Thanks for hanging in there Ron! Merry Christmas to all you MF’ers!!!!!!!
Fantastic add Eric! Man, that tone is to die for!
The neck position tone when you come in on that high note at 3:46 is outstanding and gets even better when you switch to the bridge at 4:20. Great playing with tons of emotion throughout that. Incredible job on that brother!!
I also wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all MF'ers and your Families!
Sorry it takes me so long to get anything done. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
I took the last part of this one using a contrast in tone to try and change it up a little bit.
335, Rat and the trusty old Cube 60 with an SM58 on it.
Great take Jim! I really enjoyed that.
I just want to say "Rick's Clam Shack" is the greatest title ever. LMAO. Every time I stumble on it it makes me smile. LMAO.
It fits like a glove.
That name was chosen to point out that everyone has flubs in their performances. The songs we love from our old guitar heroes are full of them too so put your anxiety aside and let's have some fun jamming together. This is an e-garage jam. Don't sweat the small stuff or let it hold you back from getting in on a fun growing experience.
Happy New Year MF'ers!
Hey Johnny! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic new year!
And Happy New Year to you Sir! I am grateful for being a part of Rick’s Clam Shack and enjoy the camaraderie with my fellow MF’ers! It’s only 2110 here so not quite new year yet but my best to you all. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all the M.F'ers and to you, Big J.P. I hope it's a great year for all!
Hi Riffraff and Happy New Year. I had figured that but that's not what comes to my mind that makes me smile when I run across it. LMAO.
It's been a little quiet at the shack for a couple of weeks. I'm sure everyone is catching up on work. God knows I'm trying but it just keeps piling up.
Here's a jam for anyone that has a minute for themselves.
Guitar: PRS SE with P90s
Amp: Peavey 6505+
95 BPM 4/4
My last lead ends at 1:44 but I played along with the main riff then did a harmonics rake around 1:55. Wide open after 1:57 but there aren't rules in e-jams so add wherever you want, cut it up and rearrange it, make it longer...anything goes.
