LLLLadies and gentlemen boys and girls, children of ALL ages,
The Marshall Forum proudly brings to you for your listening pleasure
and learning experience a jam out like none other ever seen/heard before
    on the marshall forum.

for this experience we have 3 volunteers RiffRaff, JParry335, and DerekS,
3 very different styles of guitar , 3 very exceptional talents,
all coming together to show us that it doesnt matter what style you play
that getting outside of your box, your comfort zone, can be done with great
    results.

it is with great hope we get to see the scrambling process of coming up with ideas,
the process of communication between players, and the putting it all together
musicaly, choice of gear including guitars, amps, mic's, and software used to make
this all come together, all while having fun doing it.

others are encouraged to participate as well by hands on guitar work, throwing out ideas,
asking questions, or just by offering encouragement and support.
all thats asked is if they are willing to go through this effert and give their time and talent
that we keep this thread on topic and our replies be made with great thanks and respect.

gents, the stage is yours, Thank You.

Here are a couple of backing tracks I prepared to get this started using tracks from a few past collaboration jams.

After posting them in Soundcloud I selected them then clicked edit, then permissions and made them available for download. Download them, add what you like and post them back here the same way for the next guy to grab. I had a blues one too but that one was a commercial backing track so soundcloud nuked it. We will get to that.

The "Rock Shuffle" track has 3 spots for leads, one in the beginning, one at 0:46 and another at 2:04. I added a lead at 0:46 and ended it at 1:43 where the slow section in the middle starts.

There's room for two more. Get after it boys, this is an easy one to riff on.

For the Metal Feelz template I used:
Guitar: Stock MIM Telecaster except I have a Kent Armstrong Chaos blade type humbucker in the bridge position.
Amp: Poulin LeGion amp plugin (Tone based on the Engle Powerball) * Free download *
Cab IR: Two-Notes Torpedo Wall of Sound, Michael Nielsen Big Hairy Cabs pack
Effects: Valhalla Supermassive for delay & room reverb settings in Two-Notes Torpedo

For the Rock Shuffle template I used:
Guitar: Stock MIM Telecaster except I have a Kent Armstrong Chaos blade type humbucker in the bridge position.
Amp: Poulin LeGion amp plugin (Tone based on the Engle Powerball) * Free download * Peavey Rock Master rack preamp for the lead track
Cab IR: Two-Notes Torpedo Wall of Sound, Michael Nielsen Big Hairy Cabs pack
Effects: Valhalla Supermassive for delay & reverb * Free Download *

For the Moody Piano template I used:
Guitar: Stock MIM Telecaster except I have a Kent Armstrong Chaos blade type humbucker in the bridge position.
Amp: Peavey Rock Master rack preamp for chords & Poulin LeGion amp plugin for the "chunk chunks" (Tone based on the Engle Powerball) * Free download *
Cab IR: Two-Notes Torpedo Wall of Sound, Michael Nielsen Big Hairy Cabs pack

The blues track is only 2:22 minutes long so it's not worth breaking up. We can use a different one for that. Just download, add some smoking leads and repost.

For the Short Blues template I used:
Guitar: Stock MIM Telecaster except I have a Kent Armstrong Chaos blade type humbucker in the bridge position.
Amp: Peavey Rock Master rack preamp
Cab IR: Two-Notes Torpedo Wall of Sound, Michael Nielsen Big Hairy Cabs pack
Effects: Valhalla Supermassive for delay & reverb

Not yet but everyone is welcome to participate. The more people that do the larger the pool of tracks gets that players can add to.

I see 5 downloads so far so expect to hear some cool stuff soon.

    There have been 7 downloads

I'm not sure who is working on tracks. Hopefully someone who is participating will chime in soon. If y'all want something different to jam with let me know.

I said y'all in the spirit of this track addition.

To keep this moving I'll throw up another backer. This one has room for bass, drums, vocals, leads...whatever ya got. It's country or country rock depending on the additions. Another player contributed the beautiful acoustic, I added faux pedal steel in the beginning and faux viola via volume swells with my Telecaster's volume control in the beginning and end. I also added a Skynrd style lead at 2:13.

For smart asses thinking of asking instead of listening, it's not like "Free Bird" (I hate that one). It's slower and melancholy, more like "Tuesday's Gone" if you need a frame of reference. Real fun to lead over. :dude:

The rest is wide open for additions.

That was my Telecaster again through my Rocktron Valve Sonic Plexi straight to my interface, Two-Notes IR's and the room reverb in Two-Notes. Pretty stripped down.

I really like the Idea of that Thread- I used this as an opportunity to push my own limits a bit- I'm mostly composing and do Rhythm stuff, but I'm working on a Solo over one of the Tracks. I was a bit reluctant to be the first to contribute a Lead since I'm not exactly the most mind- blowing Lead Guitar Player under the Sun .
But I can definitely contribute some Backing Tracks, so that others can fill my songs with Lead Lines:shred:.
I need to get a soundcloud account, though, and finalize some of the Ideas I have lying around.

This is going to be really fun and it definitely raises your game. I've been doing this on another website made for this since March and it's really helping me a lot. I think I have 46 or so tracks done so far. Other members are in the thousands. :wow:

Looking forward to jamming with you Eric'45. We need rhythm players and dudes that come up with cool hooks.

Soundcloud is free and I can walk you through how to make your tracks available for download on it. It's a few mouse clicks, super easy.
