Hello everyone. I am replacing the power transformer in my Marshall 1974X. Of course the new transformer’s wires are a different color than the old. I have been able to determine how they match up except on the input side.

I am in the US and I’m not sure if the AC input should go to the 120 tap or the 240 tap on the transformer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks. Joe

Your AC will go to the 120v tap. Does your amp have a voltage selector?

For 120v the primary needs to be parallel, series for 220.
