Guys our age have to stick to the old adage,
"the devil made me do it"
But I guess these days it's,
" tiktok, twitter,Facebook and social media suggested that I do it"
It's funny how many parents asked Google ,why is my kid stupid?
Lol
Remember the other one many of us grew up with?: "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me!" Damn are we a looooong way from that now lol!

I agree tho - most young folks are actually really good people these days, meet them all the time and am pleased by the way they carry themselves, etc, it really is just the few screwballs that make you wonder what went wrong in their little slice of the world to be the way they are...but that was and will always be the way it goes.

the young one have nothing to yell about yet. they are to young still.
we GenX just want things back the way gen Y found it before genZ fucks
it up totally beyong repair.
I’m afraid the Boomers already totall F’ed it up for everyone. ;)
Heh, it's a matter of perception I guess. I personally notice just as many whiny, angry, pissy young folks as old people out there (although I agree, that's been going on forever lol, hardly a thing with just the previous couple, it's a cycle as you say), more so even...but we all see what we want to see. I'd rather have a few crabby old guys shaking their fists at clouds (and trees :D ) or yelling at neighbors for letting their dogs shit on their lawn, bitching on message boards, etc, than 10's of thousands of young people burning our cities to the ground, breaking into dept. stores and cleaning them out, running around town punching old people in the face while filming it to share later, etc. Don't try to convince me it's mostly the old folks with the issues - everyone is guilty of complaining and acting a fool, young, middle aged and older, we all just express it differently.

-grumpy old guy on message board ;)

I just think of my grandparents- prohibition, Great Depression. WW2... etc. They always seemed stoic.
Most people today haven’t really known hard times. But a pandemic and a war- gas goes up- people whine incessantly.
C’mon people!!!! Get a grip, toughen up.

Lol, yes I am generalizing and I do realize we all complain but it seems to me Americans are often very childish. Ymmv

I just want to thank everyone on this thread for making me laugh so hard!! Great start to the day. So glad I’m not the only one that thinks like this anymore. The comments on here are priceless. Lol. I’m 52 and glad I grew up when I did. You just can’t teach common sense I guess. 😃😃

The screwballs are the ones everybody always hears about..Nobody ever talks much about the good ones, and they rarely make the news.

Always been the way it goes in that regard as well!

I just say the boomers because they are usually the ones complaining about millennials so I just like to the tables on 'em in a sense. Rile 'em up!!!
Personally, I really don't put much stock into the concept of "generations" - seems arbitrary.

Although- because the boomers were such a large generation they have controlled the country for a long time- so any problems you see in society- lay at their feet. lol, sarcasm to an extent.
And it's funny how the "peace and love" generation are now turning pro fascist. ;)
Then again the country has always supported dictators if it suits our needs.

no just tired of everybody fugging it up for the rest.
always seems to be the younger generations.
Should be tired of the handful of older generation who failed to raise the younger generation properly

I can only speak for America, but the only reversal I see possible starts when the family unit is promoted again
