bourbon, bourbon with coke, wine and beer are my weapons of choice

They ask me why do you drink? and I say I drink because it's liquid, if it was solid I would eat it!

    Cheers!

I went hardcore on a keto diet and exercise program about two months back. I drink water and after about a week of that I lost my craving for anything else.

So...I drink water. I'll have a glass of milk with dinner. After a workout I'll have a chocolate protein shake. And once every few days just for a little variety I'll have
one 12 ounce pepsi. That's about it. And I love being free of caffeine addiction. I feel awesome.

    None of the above!

When I do drink, I like NorCal Margaritas..Two shots of Dulce Vida organic tequila, a whole squeezed lime, seltzer water, and ice to taste..Cheers!

Sometimes red wine, and on occasion a taste of a good single malt scotch.

But my perfect mixer is a double JD in a pint glass, 2 ice cubes, a large wedge of lime, and a whole can of Pepsi.

Good ol cheap American Adjunct Lager aka Pabst, Stroh's, Old Milwaukee, Narragansett, Genesee Cream Ale and that like, a Guinness, Murphys or a Newcastle for international culture. A good cheaper end red wine every now and then. But for class? Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey, Johnnie Walker Black Label, Chivas Regal, Glenfiddich Single Malt. Tequila for a Margarita or rum for a Pina Colada in the summertime

I'm a whiskey man. I love beer - actually I love pretty much all booze except tequila.... but whiskey is my go to.

Love that Bourbon. O my, yes.

Good, smooth woody Bourbon. I don't drink it often. So I really enjoy it when I do.

Straight at room temperature for sippin'. Freezing cold for shots. Mix half and half with red bull for marathon partying situations. Mix with a raw quail egg, worcestershire and tabasco for healthy snack shots.

Use in bbq sauce, occasionally rub a little on steaks.

Warm as a fine woman, without all the baggage

Stopped drinking three years ago. I drink water, coffee and milk. And the occasional Sprite.

About 17yrs ago I was doing this artist-in-reisdency thing in Berlin . They wanted Lou Reed ,but his fee n demands were too great . It was this academic retreat on this estate that once belonged to a Jewish banker's family .When the bad guys came in the late 30's ,they took it over .After the war ,the US Army took it over as an officer's club . At some point it was returned to it's rightful owner's. The family decided to donate the place as an academic retreat to further improve German /American relations .

So anyhow ,there I was with my xwife and son. My kid went to 1st grade while we were there .

Every Friday one of the "fellows" ,which included economists, poets ...a wayward musician, had to give a presentation .After the presentation there was usually a reception with wines ..red/white/sparkling ,and snacks .Snooty sh*t

Well, your ol pal Alvis told the director that I wanted BEER at my reception . Gary, an American ,looked at me real funny and said ,"BEER ,at the academy !?"
But ,it was MY evening ,so he obliged.

Well, let me tell ya,there was no better reception night the whole 2-3 months I was there. The people were relaxed, fckn friendly . Everybody was havin a beer and smiling ,even an old Baroness.I had done my part to improve German/American relations .Beer was a great equalizer .AND it was some damn good German beer to boot !
