Is it a special cable that goes with it or will a guitar cable work?

I found a good deal on the foot switch locally but minus the cable. I figured for $50 it might would be worth getting if the cable isn’t like finding hens teeth

Looking for something I don't remember what.
If it's the same as the JMD1 footswitch then a normal guitar lead will work fine.

$50 is a steal at the prices I have seen quoted for the US market.
If you get any problems with the PEDL-91016 you could try a TRS cable instead.
Someone on the MF swears a TRS fixed some switching issues he had with the DSL 6-button.
But otherwise any cheap TS cable will do because none of your tone is going through it.
I use mine with one of those cheap, skinny (and probably un-shielded) straight/angled cables you sometimes get free with a new guitar.
This is only for home use though. If you play live then a decent, robust one would be more prudent.

It uses a standard instrument cable, as noted above.

Looks like a regular guitar cable works fine for it... hell of a deal at $50. Picked it up this morning and this was awaiting my arrival when I got home.

Welllll..... The DSL40CRV only has 'Vintage' logo plates.
They could have tried a bit harder, instead of leaving it up to folk like @FlamesAreWicked to finish the job!
    Do the grill cloth next!!!!
Go on. You know you want to!!!!

*Edit* I just noticed the gold piping!
    Nice.
