Can anyone tell me if i could run a 2x12 cabinet from the speaker out on the head and use the DI output at the same time? Thanks.

I don't have your amp, but from looking at the manual that seems to be how the D.I. is intended to be used.
So I would say yes, you can.
The Origin series amps can run without a speaker load too. A dummy load kicks in when the speaker jacks are un-connected.
This is especially useful if you want to use the D.I. as a headphone jack for silent practice.
But only rearrange your connections with the amp switched off!

Oh, and welcome to the MF @Chrisjamesguitar :welcome:

I have never tried to do that but it should be able to accomplish it!
    Cheers

make sure you give the DI signal a little test before relying upon it for your sound. It might deliver exactly what you are after, and I have every confidence that the DI circuit is solid. What it will not be able to deliver is the 'sound' of your speakers: it will be different. Maybe not bad different, but different none the less. Of course you may well be aware of this already, so forgive my telling you all this if it is something you have experienced before. Good luck, I hope it meets your needs and expectations! : )
