How do you guys get a solo volume lift with your Origin ?

With the prep amp gain cranked the onboard boost doesn’t do much

Boost in the FX loop doesn’t seem so boost which I believe is due to the loop and PPIMV ???

    Any ideas ?

I use my guitar volume but that is true for any amp i use. I set the amp up for a mids forward tone anyway. Another thing is an eq to step on. Accentuate the frequencies needed for you to cut through the band. I find this a lot better than just going for more volume.

I think that is the only way to get any lift, my only issue is I can’t play lead ha ha

I’ve solved it by turning down the gain and running all my pedals including boost up front. Drive comes from pedals instead and it works well

I have realized not many people seem to utilize the volume knob on the guitar. That for me has always been a given and how Ive always known to play. Seems like a lot of people just play with the guitar's volume maxed then struggle for a volume jump or "boost" when it comes to leads. I dont know but playing like that just seems weird but thats just me.

Learn to play with the volume rolled back a tad for rhythm etc and adjust the volume knob on the guitar when it comes time to solo or play a lead/melody.

See, this makes me wonder if the fx-loop return on the OR50 can be used with stereo pedals , to slave another head for stereo sound.
Is the fx-loop different from most Marshall heads?
So a volume pedal in the loop of the OR50 doesn't work?
