    9917B519-584D-4597-8A95-5C50C03DA02F.jpeg Hey guys...
I just bought the Origin 50 head. I thought it was cheap enough to take a chance on. I love it! Except for the fact that the thing doesn’t have a standby switch, and the 50-10-0.5 watt option is useless to me, this might be my fav amp among some really nice high end pieces. (Original 1959 Bassman, Germino JTM45, etc.)
The question: Can the power be permanently wired to 50 watts and the power selector switch be converted to a standby switch?
    Thanks for any input.

Wonder if you could just pull a lead off the low or mid power? You might want to pm the guy thats doing the mods in the origin mods thread.

Like I said, the power selector is useless (to me) and I realize a standby switch is fairly useless likewise. My reason is for nothing more than just to have a more traditional control panel. Amp is getting yanked from original box and mounted in “big box” like the Germino and a new faceplate made.

Without getting into endless standby pro's/cons discussion.. why not just trust Marshall on the no standby issue?...

Did I say I do not trust the Marshall designers? Did I not say that standby switches are mostly useless?

No, you said that you want to change the current setup to a traditional standby switch.
