Been spending a lot of time plays my DC Special and Tele and I'm finding that the O20H loves single coils. No pedals other than an EQ (boost) in the FX loop, just at break-up (7 watt) the sound is soooo sweet and raw.

This amp continues to surprise me, what's been your experience with single coils?

I'm going to go back to playin for a while.

I just tried some mid power with my Tele & Strat.
Even tried to crank the low watt setting.
Still get the tones I like best at 20w & some SD-1, GE-7 in the loop.
Gain addict I suppose, and more of a humbucker guy, sorry.
I think I'm still getting used to playing singles.
Definitely different than a coil tapped HB (imo).
But I will concur with some Origin20 love.

I got a Bad Cat Unleash V2 recently and have yet to put in on the Origin.

I have an LP with tapping and it gets some really wild tones, the P 90's on the other hand really sing, Tone Riders Vintage Plus ( a little over wound) in the Tele, really gets that "woody tone" (neck).

Gawd bless you brother, I can hear it now...
I would love to hear about the Bad Cat Unleash in V2 once you've done it!

Yep I like my TVJ dynasonic tele more than high output HB's. Big cleans and pushing it sounds like crunching gravel.

I gig regularly with the 20H at the edge of breakup mid power settings, a 1x12 Greenback, HSS strats, an SL Drive and now a Marvel drive and this is the tone I get:

Except for the general audio which is recorded with an iPhone, I'm pretty happy with it, hope you like it too

Hey, I hooked the Bad Cat up to the Origin.
I was definitely getting some nice organic overdrive with the Origin cranked - 20w with the gain & master around 8-9 each (4 o'clock-ish cranked) - boost off.
The 100w re-amp can play like this at any volume, and go way past what the 20w Origin can put out on it's own.
My 2x12 has a T-75 top and a V30 bottom, so it'll take about 120w before flaming out.
I had to completely change my GE-7 settings from a mid scoop smile to a mid boost frown.
But at low volume, I get VERY similar tones with my SD-1 / boost on / GE-7 in the loop.
(sorry, just realized I did my experiment with humbuckers in your single coil thread)

IMHO - Volume out of the speakers is where the magic is, no matter how it gets there.
I quote @Maggot Brain : "there's no replacement for displacement".

The Bad Cat is going back on the Haze.
I didn't get it to be an attenuator, I got it for the Haze to add a loop and make it a 100w purple monster.
