Splawn Competition 50 or Ceriatone Molecular 50?

CCV tone is what's in mind.
    Both EL34.

I think I would go with the Molecular but in a 100w. I like the Splawn too though, I had a Street Rod combo and it was a very nice amp. They seem a little darker somewhat like a Friedman to me but the Street Rod had 3 "gears" and an era switch that made it pretty cool. (Ballsy for 40w) The Molecular has a NFB knob that works great as well as some diode clipping so you don't have to crank it to get good tones. It also has a buffered effects loop that can be bi-passed and some other cool little things on it. A boost for leads would be a nice touch if Nik can add it. Plus the cost difference should be a good incentive.

The ceriatone molecular is based off of the atomica. If you want ccv , the King Kong is what you want.

The Molecular wins! Saves me about $600 as well.

Thanks again, but I would like to offer that the builder himself stated the Molecular would
be closer in tone than the KK. Just offering :D

If you have some tweaks in mind write Nik, he can mod the hell out of it

Thank you for the advice :D. I'll see what stock puts out first. Got some nice old ax7's laying
around also. My hopes are high.

Ok lol. I do know for sure though that the molecular is based off the atomica.

One thing I wish all amps had is a boost for leads. Mesa uses them and they are very nice. A long tank reverb would be cool. I really think you will love that amp, congratulations on an awesome pick. I love the Chupacabra and I’m sure you will love that one as well. PLEASE keep us posted on how long it takes and when you get it, as well as what it can do. I want to start my next order with Nik also.
